Meghan Markle reportedly met Queen Elizabeth during a very discreet tea party at Buckingham Palace. Now that Meghan Markle and Queen Elizabeth have managed to spend a little quality time together, it’s without a doubt that Prince Harry’s engagement and wedding plans are back on track.
Prince Harry knew that he had to get his grandmother’s approval before asking Meghan Markle the all-important question. But at the same time, he also knew that Queen Elizabeth would like Meghan. She has so far proven that she has what it takes to be a future princess: she’s well spoken, compassionate about her charity work and she’s also determined to make the world a better place. The way Prince Harry sees it, Meghan is going to be a huge asset to the British royal family.
Then again, many royal observers are surprised that it’s taken Prince Harry this long to arrange a meeting between his girlfriend and his grandmother. Harry and Meghan have been dating for well over a year now but he hasn’t made any moves that indicate he’s ready to propose to Meghan. For Harry, he doesn’t want to make any mistakes.
He doesn’t want to move too fast, but at the same time he doesn’t want to take things too slowly, either. It took his brother Prince William nearly a decade before he finally decided to settle down with Kate Middleton. Prince Harry doesn’t have that kind of time on his hands. But at the same time, he wants to make sure that Meghan Markle fully understands what she’s getting into before they make their relationship official.
So far Prince Harry hasn’t made any comments about his future plans with Meghan Markle. Buckingham Palace is yet to confirm Queen Elizabeth’s supposed meeting with Meghan Markle as well. But at this point there’s no denying that Harry and Meghan are moving forward with their engagement and wedding plans.
Nothing is going to stop them from becoming royal husband and wife. Prince Harry has waited his entire life for a woman like Meghan and there’s no way that he’s going to let her slip out of his hands. That’s why he’s being as protective as he can be while also making it pretty clear that he’s going to do things on his own terms, whether anyone likes it or not.
