The Young and the Restless spoilers tease that Chloe’s (Elizabeth Hendrickson) comical rise from the casket is happening because another improbable event is about to be presented. Victor (Eric Braeden) knows Adam Newman (most recently played by Justin Hartley) is alive, which explains his benevolence.
Eric Braeden’s recent Twitter interaction with Michael Muhney appears to indicate that the controversial actor will return to play Adam in the near future. Of course it’s possible that Braeden was simply suggesting that the Adam character will return, but that Muhney won’t rejoin the cast but that wasn’t the drift of the communication. Time will soon tell.
Meanwhile, Chloe has once again talked Kevin (Greg Rikaart) into walking on the wrong side of the law. He was shown carrying a gun and heading to his true love’s location, which is in Louisiana. That troubling sequence establishes another Khloe adventure.
The idea that Chloe wasn’t dead all along made soapy sense. No retrospective was shown prior to her escape from Genoa City. That plot vehicle isn’t always used, but does generally proceed a tenured actor’s departure from the show.
However, Victor’s cryptic use of the phrase “nuclear option” proved to mean that he was authorizing Dr. Harris (Ron Melendez) to help Chloe fake her death. But how did the doctor and Chloe know that Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) would arrive at Harris’ home, which then allowed Mrs. Newman to find her best friend apparently dead?
Viewers must assume that Harris knew he was being lured out of his house to talk with Nick (Joshua Morrow) and that Chelsea would arrive looking for Chloe while he was gone. That’s not a logical plot point, but served to push the storyline further.
Victor’s actions seemed well beyond reason ever since he gave Chloe an envelope full of money and encouraged her to disappear and never return to GC. But the followup story, whereby she went to live with Dr. Harris, was pure Moustache. That sequence allowed him to remain in control of the situation.
With all of the above considered, it’s plausible to believe that Victor’s awareness that Adam never died, or that his people located his son alive at some point since the start of September served to naturally altered his view of Chloe. He knew that her early release from the mental health facility was wrong.
Now, Victor’s just trying to manage the damage while also keeping Adam’s resurrection plans in the back of his mind. CDL is a leading source for everything linked to The Young and the Restless. Check back regularly for Y&R spoilers and news!
