General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) will continue to struggle with her trauma. Sam’s plan to go through with Shiloh Archer’s (Coby Ryan McLaughlin) initiation has been one of the most-talked about GH storylines in a while – and not in a good way. Many viewers just don’t buy that Sam, an intelligent woman and sexual assault survivor, would’ve been willing to go this far.
Even now some fans are struggling to find much sympathy for Sam. She was fully aware of what goes on in these initiations. Sam knew what she was doing and signed up for this. However, there’s an important lesson here. People are allowed to change their minds. Sam was free to revoke her consent at any time and that’s exactly what she did – at least as well as she could under the circumstances.
Although Sam couldn’t physically stop Shiloh, she repeatedly mumbled no and tried to push him away. Sam may have put herself in this situation, but it was clear that it wasn’t what she wanted. Now that it’s all played out, Sam can see that it was a bad idea. GH fans can still be frustrated with the writers for ever dreaming up this scenario, but maybe we should put the blame back on rapist Shiloh.
Regardless, something good will come out of this storyline. General Hospital spoilers say they’ll take lemons and make lemonade. Based on the episode airing May 28, the real Sam is back! The preview clip shows Sam getting in Shiloh’s face at GH. Sam looks downright vicious as she snarls, “Game over, Shiloh! You lose!” It should be satisfying to watch Shiloh realize he never won Sam over at all.
Shiloh is a con man himself since he touts Dawn of Day as some amazing organization. It’s really just a cult where vulnerable people – mainly young women – are targeted and taken advantage of. Shiloh won’t be pleased that his most treasured student was duping him the whole time. He truly came to believe Sam was his destiny, but she’ll burst his bubble and promise vengeance is coming.
Unfortunately, Sam and Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) may not be able to take Shiloh down immediately. GH viewers know how sneaky this guy can be. General Hospital spoilers say “JaSam” will send their summer working on a new plan. This time it should be a scheme that fans can get behind.
The goal will be simple: Take Shiloh down once and for all. This will be the ultimate plot that could destroy Shiloh and rock him to his very core. Will finally Sam and Jason pull off their mission? It sounds like a safe bet!
