The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Chelsea Newman (Melissa Claire Egan) will have to make some tough choices. Connor Newman (Judah Mackey) is headed to town starting August 8, so one of Chelsea’s decisions will involve his future. Chelsea wants to protect Connor from Adam Newman’s (Mark Grossman) tight grip, but the boy deserves to be with his mom and the rest of his family.
It looks like Chelsea will discuss the issue with Anita Lawson (Catherine Bach) and decide Connor should remain with her in Genoa City. Of course, Chelsea will be even more wary of Adam influencing their son. Adam has been focused on Christian Newman, but that should change once Connor reenters the picture. You can bet Adam will be eager to reconnect with Connor, who once truly looked up to him.
Meanwhile, Nick Newman’s (Mark Grossman) conflict with Adam will get even worse. Chelsea hoped Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) could get through to Adam and potentially help him turn from his wicked ways. Once Sharon and Adam cave into steamy temptation, Chelsea will realize that plan’s a bust. She may determine that Adam has to be taken down – and Chelsea herself may be the only one capable.
Sharon Newman Is Under Adam Newman’s Spell – He Knows It
Adam certainly has a special connection with Sharon, but the power swings in his favor. Sharon is under Adam’s spell and he knows it. Part of their upcoming sex session will be about sticking it to Nick.
Y&R fans know part of Nick will always love Sharon. She’s the mother of his children, and they have a rich history together. Adam will take great pleasure in doing damage to what’s left of “Shick’s” bond.
With Sharon, there’s always an element of manipulation on Adam’s end. With Chelsea, she’s the one with all the power. The Young and the Restless spoilers say Adam would do just about anything to be with Chelsea and get their family back. Pretending Adam can have that may be the key to thwarting him down the line.
Chelsea Newman Has Said Her Scamming Days Are Behind Her
Chelsea offers a hint in the Young and the Restless episode which aired August 5. She made it clear that her scamming ways are behind her. Chelsea vows that she’ll never return to her life of conning. That seems more like a sign that Chelsea will indeed con once again. Will she be forced to con Adam? Will Chelsea make Adam think they can have it all and plan to pull the rug out from under him?
Nick might be in on this potential plot with Chelsea. They could stage some fights to sell it and have Chelsea act like she’s drifting closer to Adam. Of course, there’s a fine line between pretending and actually feeling something. Chelsea might hope to set Adam up for a crime or find some other path to get him out of the way. In reality, she could be setting herself up to fall for Adam!
Will Chelsea be forced into one last con job? Will Adam be her final victim or could will Chelsea’s efforts crash and burn? We’ll give you updates as other Y&R news comes in.
