General Hospital (GH) spoilers for Tuesday, June 16, tease that a gripping throwback episode’s coming up. This GH encore originally aired on September 24, 2013. General Hospital will deliver plenty of drama in this exciting classic, so here’s what to expect if you’re doing a rewatch or even watching for the first time!
For starters, Lulu Falconeri (Emme Rylan) and Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) work to calm fussy Baby Connie Falconeri, but nothing seems to work. This makes Lulu feel like she’s failing as a mother – and even Dante thinks it seems like Connie wants to be somewhere else. Connie ultimately stops crying once Dante and Lulu put her in bed between them.
At Maxie Jones’ (Kirsten Storms) place, she’s startled by an intruder and bashed him over the head. Once Maxie realizes it’s actually Damian Spinelli (Bradford Anderson), she rants at him for sneaking in like a prowler. Spinelli explains that he needed to retrieve his gym bag, but he was hoping to avoid Maxie.
Maxie and Spinelli start bickering about how if it hadn’t been for Ellie Trout (Emily Wilson), Spinelli wouldn’t have known about his daughter. Spinelli’s upset about Maxie’s lie and frets about missing so many milestones in his daughter’s life. He talks about the constant and unceasing pain, so Maxie confesses that she’s in pain, too.
Maxie reflects on breaking a promise to Lulu when she lost her baby – the one thing Lulu wanted most. She feared the news of this miscarriage would destroy Lulu, so she saw the new, unexpected pregnancy as a chance to make things right. Spinelli’s still upset since Maxie chose to hurt him, but he admits he doesn’t hate her.
At GH, Silas Clay (Michael Easton) treats Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) to a picnic in the hallway outside Danny’s hospital room. Sam thinks the nightlight Silas added is a nice touch, and they open up to each other about their pasts. Once Danny cries out, Sam runs in to comfort him. Danny soon finds himself pointing at the nightlight show in his room.
Next, Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) pushes Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) to discuss what went down at Morgan Corinthos’ (Bryan Craig) wedding reception.
Carly feels like Sonny’s out of control because he stopped taking his lithium. Although Sonny’s reluctant to talk about any of this, Carly insists they have to since Sonny blew things up for Morgan and Kiki Jerome (Kristen Alderson).
Sonny rants about how Morgan had to own up to his actions. Carly argues that Sonny hurt Morgan by forcing him to do that publicly. Since Sonny toasted to Morgan with one hand and backhanded him with the other, Carly wonders if he’d do it again. She thinks Sonny needs to get back on his meds before the darkness consumes him.
Sonny just feels like Carly wants to control him through the pills, but Carly keeps pushing. She wants Sonny to set a positive example for their kids and honor Connie Falconeri’s (Kelly Sullivan) memory. An emotional Sonny is convinced to take a pill.
Meanwhile, it’s confession time for Kiki and Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell). In the aftermath of the wedding reception drama, Kiki admits that she told Morgan she loved him but loves Michael more. Michael’s taken aback since he loves Kiki, too.
He insists that after Kiki gets an annulment, they can work through the challenges and be together. Kiki lets Michael seal it with a kiss.
At Ava Jerome’s (Maura West) place, Morgan shows up and vents about his ruined marriage. He insists his family only cares about Michael and contends that Sonny’s dead to him.
Ava and Morgan have a moment of understanding since neither one of the has anyone else to lean on. After starting, they lean in for a steamy kiss.
Ava pulls back to slap Morgan and wonders what he’s doing, but Morgan doesn’t know or care. The clothes start coming off as passion erupts! As other GH updates emerge on upcoming classics, we’ll keep you posted on all the details.
