The Young and the Restless spoilers review for Tuesday, March 3, tease that Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) will have a big reaction to Tessa Porter’s (Cait Fairbanks) return to the apartment. As Y&R viewers know, Mariah and Lindsay (Kirby Bliss Blanton) just made love and Tessa walked in, but instead of owning what she just did, Tessa will deflect and basically accuse Tessa of cheating with Tanner Watts (Chase Coleman).
Tessa will deny cheating with Tanner, and Mariah will deny sleeping with Lindsay, but Tessa will say that all evidence points to the contrary and she’ll storm out. Afterwards,
Mariah will be very upset, and Lindsay will try to calm her down. Tessa won’t answer her phone, and Mariah will lament that this just isn’t who she is.
Lindsay will advise Mariah to be kinder to herself, and she’ll say that she’s hurting because she has a conscience and that she loves Tessa. Mariah will wonder what happens now, and Lindsay will advise her to lean on the support of her nearest and dearest friends.
Meanwhile, at the Newman ranch, Reed Hellstrom (Tristan Lake Leabu) will surprise his mom Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle), who will now be out of the hospital. She’ll be thrilled to see Reed, but Reed will start in on Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) right away, wondering how Billy could let something like this happen. Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) and Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow), who will be in the room as well, will advise Reed to leave that topic alone for the time being.
A bit later, Victor will tell Nick that he’s made up his mind that Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) will run Newman Enterprises – he’s the only option. Nick will respectfully disagree, and he’ll wonder what Victoria thinks about it. Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) will pipe in that she doesn’t think Victoria will want anybody filling in for her. Nick will wish Victor luck and leave, and Nikki will ask Victor if he can really trust Adam to run Newman Enterprises.
Next, over at Sharon Newman’s (Sharon Case) house, she will battle with chemo side-effects alongside Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) as the ice storm continues to develop outside. Rey will offer his support, but Sharon will get upset, worrying that her next chemo session could be canceled if her blood count is off. Sharon will ultimately throw a little tantrum, which Faith Newman (Alyvia Alyn Lind) will witness.
Rey will then get a work call, and he’ll take off, leaving Faith to take care of her mom. That will go well, until Faith starts talking about food, which will make Sharon get sick. Soon, Mariah will walk in, and Sharon will be able to sense that something is really wrong. As they talk privately, Mariah will explain what happened.
Sharon will think that Tessa should have been clearer about what was and wasn’t going on with Tanner, but she’ll be shocked that Mariah never told Tessa about her cancer. Ultimately, Sharon will tell Mariah that she already knows how to make things right, and that she needs to stay positive.
Meanwhile, at the Grand Phoenix, Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) will check in on Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) in her room. She’ll quickly learn about Ripley Turner’s (Christian Keyes) arrest. The women will discuss how Amanda’s coping with all of this, and Phyllis will reassure her friend, telling her not to let Ripley bring her down.
Phyllis will then head to Nick’s house, where she’ll have brought takeout for her and Nick. Nick will want to address their kiss at the Newman gala, but she’ll insist that there’s nothing to explain and that she’s moved on from it. She’ll explain that she just wants to have dinner with her pal, but soon she’ll admit that she’s interested in all of those Dark Horse properties that she gave to Nick a while back.
Talk will then turn to Phyllis’ acquisition of the Grand Phoenix, and Nick will assume that she did something underhanded or borderline unethical to make Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway) and Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) walk away. Phyllis will deflect and try to leave, but the ice storm will be so bad at this point that she’ll have to stay.
Next, at Crimson Lights, Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy) will tell Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) that she wants to show him a property that just might be the new clinic. Soon, Amanda will arrive for coffee, and they’ll approach her and offer their support for what she went through with Ripley. They’ll say that they didn’t know what she was going through and didn’t mean to add to her burden. She’ll appreciate it, but she won’t want to talk.
Elena and Devon will head over to the clinic property, and Devon will think that the place has potential. He’ll love it that she’s excited about the clinic, and they’ll kiss happily as Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) walks in from outside. He’ll note that it’s getting worse outside and that they’re stuck there for the night.
Over at Society, Adam and Chelsea will chat, when Adam gets a call from Victor asking him to come to the ranch to discuss Newman Enterprises. Once there, Adam will say that whatever Victor has decided, he knows that nothing comes without strings attached. He’ll wonder what he’ll have to do to prove his loyalty. Before they can talk about it, a tree will fall on the property due to the storm.
The commotion will get Nikki, Chelsea, Victoria, Adam, and Victor all in the same room as the wind howls outside from the storm. Victoria will look at Adam tentatively as he says that it’s too dangerous to go out now, so he supposes he and Victor have all night to hash things out. One wonders how Victoria is going to feel to hear that Adam will be taking over her role at the company!
