Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that Lani Price-Grant’s (Sal Stowers) bio mom is Paulina Price (Jackée Harry), so Grandma Olivia Price’s (Marla Gibbs) arrival will pave the way for this big reveal.
DOOL fans know secrets have already been a problem for Paulina, who got busted over her plans to destroy the town square and create a new Price Town.
Paulina thankfully saw the error of her ways and went with the original marketplace she pitched, but Lani’s struggling to forgive and forget.
Of course, this little Price Town debacle is nothing compared to the buried secret that’ll be exposed down the road. CDL previously speculated that Paulina might be Lani’s biological mother. The show’s been offering up clues for months, so it’s no surprise that Days is moving ahead with this story.
We now have confirmation that Lani is indeed Paulina’s bio daughter, which means she’s been deceived her whole life!
It seems likely that Paulina wanted to hide Lani from that abusive ex she mentioned, so she gave her baby to her sister, Tamara Price (Marilyn McCoo).
Plus, Paulina probably wasn’t ready to be a mom back then anyway.
The point is Tamara has been posing as Lani’s mother all this time, so poor Lani’s eventually going to get hit with some devastating shockers.
It looks like Days will undo Lani’s paternity, which means Abe Carver (James Reynolds) isn’t her true father – and Theo Carver (Cameron Johnson) isn’t really Lani’s brother.
Since Paulina is Lani’s mom, that also makes Chanel Dupree (Raven Bowens) Lani’s sister instead of her cousin.
Lani’s world is going to be blown apart right along with Abe’s, so they’re both going to hate Paulina for her deception. As for how this buried secret will come to light, the arrival of Paulina’s mother should set the stage for it.
Olivia will warn Paulina to keep her mouth shut about this shocking secret from the past, but soap fans know how this goes!
Just by showing up in Salem and talking about this secret, Olivia will lay the groundwork for the big reveal that’s coming.
