Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that Theo Carver (Cameron Johnson) will blast Claire Brady (Isabel Durant) for helping Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson) snatch Ciara Brady (Victoria Konefal) from the wedding. This angry groom will demand answers after the stand-in bride’s betrayal, so Claire will face Theo’s fury and questions.
DOOL fans know Claire realized she could solve a problem for Ben, so she volunteered to help.
Claire knew that if Ciara didn’t show up at the ceremony, people would immediately start wondering where she was. Nobody would believe Ciara stood Theo up after how hard she fought for the nuptials to happen.
Ben needed to be sure he could get Ciara away from her wedding without anyone catching up to him.
By donning a bridal gown and offering herself up as a substitute under that veil, Claire gave Ben the chance to speed off with Ciara – and he’ll get her to the cabin for a memory mission soon enough.
In the meantime, Claire can give Ben even more of a head start by distracting Theo and everyone in attendance at this wedding.
Days spoilers say Theo will wonder what the heck Claire thinks she’s doing. He’ll no doubt rip into Claire for pulling this stunt and feel betrayed since she put Ben first.
Theo’s going to feel like Claire prioritized her friendship with Ben over her friendship with him.
However, Claire may insist that’s not true at all. Although Claire certainly wanted to help Ben, this was also about sparing Theo pain.
As Claire explained before she offered assistance to Ben, she’s hoping to minimize Theo’s heartbreak.
Claire feared that if Ciara married her new fiancé and ultimately remembered her love for Ben, the divorce would be brutal on Theo.
Even if Ciara tried to stay with Theo as her second-choice husband, that could be painful for both of them.
Theo would feel like he was trapping Ciara in a marriage and holding her back from the man she really wanted.
Claire will hope Theo can understand this sneaky wedding move is coming from the right place.
It’s an act of kindness, even if it doesn’t feel that way to Theo and Ciara right now. Of course, Theo is just going to feel livid and betrayed at this point in the story.
It’s tough to imagine Theo will see things Claire’s way, so he’ll be focused on finding Ciara and saving her from Ben.
When Days returns on Monday, August 9, there’ll be quite a faceoff as Theo pushes for answers about his missing bride!
