Days of Our Lives Spoilers: Wednesday, September 1 Recap – Rafe Confesses to Ava – EJ Challenges Johnny – Chloe Rejects Philip

Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Wednesday, September 1, reveals that Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) confessed to Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun) while EJ DiMera (Dan Feurriegel) challenged Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman) to prove himself. Chloe Lane (Nadia Bjorlin) also rejected Philip Kiriakis’ (Jay Kenneth Johnson) offer, so here’s how it all went down on Wednesday’s DOOL episode.

At the motel in Pennsylvania, Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) couldn’t sleep after he got in bed with Chloe Lane (Nadia Bjorlin). Time passed on the clock until it was after midnight – and Chloe wound up snuggling close to Brady in her sleep.

Suddenly, Philip Kiriakis (Jay Kenneth Johnson) entered using a key card and shouted that he knew it! He warned that he was going to make Brady pay for whatever happened there tonight.

Philip and Brady got into an argument before Chloe decided she’d had enough and sent Brady out of the room.

Chloe then lashed out at Philip over his lack of trust and jealousy. She insisted they’d be through if he couldn’t get past those issues, so Philip calmed down and indeed tried to trust her.

After Philip pointed out that he had a working jet, he offered to take Chloe ahead to New York and let Brady stay there until the other plan was working again. Chloe refused to leave Brady behind and wanted to stick with the original plan.

Philip wondered if Chloe expected him to just let her stay there in the same bed with Brady – and that was what she expected since Philip said he trusted her.

Brady came back and said the night manager threatened to call the cops on him for loitering in the lobby, but Chloe insisted Philip was just leaving anyway.

Once Philip was gone, Brady seemed annoyed as he got back in bed and suggested they could try this again. However, Chloe made a bed for herself on the floor and suggested her back was fine unlike Brady’s.

At the DiMera mansion, Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman) tried sending Chanel Dupree (Raven Bowens) a video of himself since she wasn’t responding to his texts. EJ DiMera (Dan Feurreigel) poked fun at Johnny’s terrible attempt and assumed he blew his date.

Johnny denied that, but he didn’t think one date was a big deal anyway. He took a jab about EJ blowing his whole marriage, but then he decided that was below the belt.

EJ and Johnny settled down as they had a civil conversation about Allie Horton (Lindsay Arnold) being Chanel’s bestie.

After Johnny suggested that Allie was jealous, he brought up the fact that Allie and Chanel kissed a couple times. EJ asked if Johnny was telling him that Allie was gay, but Johnny said no and pointed out his sister was with Tripp Johnson (Lucas Adams).

EJ wondered if Allie was just experimenting then, so Johnny guessed so.

All Johnny knew was that Allie came barging in and trashed him for being a player in front of Chanel.

Johnny worried Chanel would believe Allie since they were so tight, but EJ gave Johnny advice about taking things slowly and showing Chanel he wanted more than just getting her in bed.

Johnny thought it was weird to be talking to EJ like this, but EJ pointed out they used to talk about everything.

EJ reminded Johnny of the importance of family and made another pitch for Johnny to join DiMera Enterprises, so Johnny wondered if the advice was about manipulating him.

EJ insisted he was trying to help Johnny and didn’t think Chanel would want him if he was a failure of a filmmaker. Johnny disagreed since Chanel was living her dream by opening her bakery.

“When she wants nothing to do with you, don’t say I didn’t warn you,” EJ said before sauntering out.

At home on Wednesday’s Days episode, Nicole Walker (Arianne Zucker) could tell something was bothering Allie, who admitted this was really about someone.

Allie recapped the story of Johnny dating Chanel and how she went off on her brother at the DiMera mansion. Nicole got Allie to consider the possibility that she could be jealous.

Although Allie denied it at first, she ultimately decided Nicole might be right and worried about how she was going to fix this.

Nicole assured Allie that she just had a bad night and messed up. She felt confident Allie could apologize and patch things up with Johnny as well as Chanel.

At Paulina Price’s (Jackee Harry) place, she found out about Chanel’s new Johnny complication and wondered if jealousy was behind Allie’s outburst.

Paulina reflected on dating a man her sister was once with, but she knew she had something special with Abe Carver (James Reynolds).

If Chanel saw real potential with Johnny, Paulina urged her daughter to go after what she wanted.

At the Hernandez house on Wednesday’s Days episode, Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) found Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun) sitting in the dark with her suitcase.

Ava wanted to tell Rafe to his face that she was moving out. She revealed that she saw Nicole in Rafe’s arms this morning, but Rafe said Ava had it all wrong since they were saying goodbye.

Rafe confessed to having some thoughts a friend shouldn’t have for another friend, but he assured Ava that he never acted on them.

Rafe asked if Ava could honestly say that for as long as they might go out, that she’d never be attracted to another man. Rafe wondered if Ava would really throw their relationship away over that if she did.

Ava admitted she wanted Rafe – but not if he wanted Nicole. Rafe insisted that Ava was the one he wanted to be with and hoped they could get past this.

After Ava cried over how she felt about Rafe, she asked him to take her bag since she needed to unpack. Rafe smiled and said he thought Ava would never ask, so these two got back on track.

Days of Our Lives spoilers say Ava and Rafe’s romance will come with more curveballs, so stay tuned to DOOL.
