The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) will resolve to find out everything he can about his alleged son, Harrison Locke. Since Theo Vanderway (Tyler Johnson) was the source of this kid info, Kyle knows his cousin might just be stirring the pot.
This is something Kyle has to dig into for himself, so he’ll look up some pics of Harrison and uncover a few more details.
There’s a good chance Kyle will see the resemblance as well and decide there could be some truth to Theo’s claims. The timing fits, so Kyle will have multiple reasons to think Tara Locke gave birth to his child.
At some point, this secret is going to blow up and put Kyle’s relationship with Summer Newman (Hunter King) to the test. Summer has finally found some security in the trust department, but Kyle’s deception will leave her with doubts once again.
However, Y&R recently featured Kyle and Summer together for a Valentine’s Day promotion. The Young and the Restless Twitter account insisted that “love never goes out of Skyle’” so maybe that’s a hint that Summer and Kyle will pull through this crisis.
After all, Kyle isn’t lying to Summer to be malicious. He’s just scared of losing the woman he loves – and Summer may come to realize that in time. That’s especially true if Kyle finally comes clean after he feels certain Harrison is his own.
Kyle might contend that he just wanted to be sure before he risked changing their relationship forever – and it will indeed change if a child is involved. Nevertheless, maybe it could change for the better in some ways.
If Kyle decides he wants to be part of Harrison’s life, Summer might determine that she has to help him. A custody battle could be brewing if Kyle really is Harrison’s father. Ashland Locke is a powerful man with tons of legal resources, but the Abbotts and Newmans have plenty of legal resources, too.
If Summer can get Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) to back her up on supporting this fight against Ashland, “Skyle” will have a valuable ally. Of course, Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) can also throw his support behind Kyle.
Even so, there’s one thing Summer and Kyle could do on their own to strengthen Kyle’s custody case. Ashland and Tara seem like the more stable home for Harrison as a married couple. Kyle isn’t going to be as appealing as a single dad living in a hotel suite.
However, Kyle could remarry Summer and hurry things along on the house they want to move into. Married “Skyle” would stand a better chance against Tara and Ashland in court. If Kyle wants to win any custody rights, his best bet might be a quick wedding to offer a stepmom and set up an equally stable home life.
