The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) may plot a Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) and Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) reunion. It looks like Diane will want Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) available for a happy united family with Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor), so let’s talk about what’s in store.
May sweeps spoilers point to Jack and Phyllis’ connection deepening, so they’ll be on the right track to reunite romantically.
Unfortunately, Diane could try to get in the way with a giant snag.
Other Y&R spoilers say Diane could give Phyllis a shove in someone else’s direction – back to the person Jack’s most afraid of.
Of course, we’d argue that Nick is the person Jack’s most afraid of in this situation.
If Jack gets any hint that Phyllis and Nick might want to reunite, he may shut down his own romantic desires.
Jack is extremely wary of falling hard and getting his heart broken. He loves Phyllis deeply and doesn’t think he could go through losing her like that again.
Diane insists Jack and Kyle’s opinions are the only ones she cares about.
Although Diane’s primary mission has been about reconnecting with Kyle, it certainly seems like she wants to reconnect with Jack, too.
Why else would Diane keep having all these flashbacks of coparenting with Jack?
Not to mention all the gazing Diane does at the framed photo of herself with Jack and Kyle.
The longer this story goes on, the clearer it becomes that Jack is part of the package for Diane.
Diane definitely wouldn’t turn down another chance with Jack if she could get one.
In order to make that happen, Diane needs Jack to believe she’s truly changed – and she’d stand a better shot of pulling that off without Phyllis trashing her constantly.
Diane also needs to get rid of the competition, so playing matchmaker for Phyllis and Nick might do the trick.
It’d also allow Diane to keep up this whole “changed woman” idea.
Diane might view it as a scenario where everybody wins. She may think Phyllis can happily reunite with Nick and leave Jack single for a very different reunion.
Diane would no doubt love to be one big happy family with Jack and Kyle.
Plus, Diane has already bonded with Jack’s granddaughter, Allie Nguyen (Kelsey Wang). She may think it’s perfect and envision them all getting along over traditional Abbott breakfasts.
However, there could be a major problem that prevents Diane’s plot from working.
Rey Rosales’ (Jordi Vilasuso) death will pull Nick closer to Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case), so that could present a roadblock to any Phyllis and Nick plans that Diane cooks up.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Diane is still a schemer at her core, so it’ll be fun to see what she pulls off!
