General Hospital Spoilers: Thursday, January 12 Recap – Carly Faces Nina Alone – Willow Won’t Awaken for Truth

General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Thursday, January 12, reveals that Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) was impressed by Cody Bell’s (Josh Kelly) ability to distract her from Willow Tait’s (Katelyn MacMullen) medical drama.

Cody wound up making an insensitive comment or two, but Sasha found that refreshing since everyone else had been so careful about what they said to her.

There was talk about Gladys Corbin (Bonnie Burroughs) being Sasha’s mother-in-law, so Cody admitted he knew a woman named Gladys and assumed it must not be the same one.

Sasha suggested that Cody would remember this Gladys since she was very memorable.

Cody got updates on everything Sasha had been through and noted that Brando Corbin (Johnny Wactor) had died a hero like Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud), so they toasted to Brando and Britt with biscotti.

Outside the Quartermaine gatehouse, Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) worried to Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) about Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) taking advantage of the situation with Wiley Quartermaine-Corinthos (Viron Weaver).

Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) also showed up and hugged Wiley right as Brook Lynn entered with Chase.

All the adults discussed Willow’s leukemia while Wiley was upstairs, but Nina shared a sweet moment with her grandson before she left for the hospital with Sonny.

Afterward, Wiley was confused since he loved Grandma Nina, but his mommy said she was bad.

Brook Lynn explained that Nina had made some mistakes, but that didn’t mean she was a bad person.

Chase agreed to read Wiley a story, so the kid scampered upstairs to get a book.

Brook Lynn and Chase reflected on how they pretended to be parents to Bailey Louise Jones, so that brought a bittersweet moment together.

Although Brook Lynn assumed Chase wanted to be at the hospital with Willow, he acted like he’d be in the way and opted to help babysit Wiley.

Chase later read a story before looking over to find both Wiley and Brook Lynn asleep next to him on the sofa.

At GH, Willow was in critical but stable condition.

Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) spoke with Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) privately about the bio mom secret, which Drew wasn’t willing to sit on forever.

Carly understood that the truth had to come out, but she didn’t think it was the right time since Willow was unconscious and facing this setback.

Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) eventually informed everyone that Willow’s bone marrow donor match had fallen through, so Carly had another conversation with Drew and knew what she had to do.

In Willow’s hospital room, Carly apologized since she never meant for this to happen.

Although Carly pushed Willow to wake up and hear what she had to say, Willow didn’t open her eyes.

Sonny and Nina made their way to the chapel, so Carly braced for what was coming as she stood outside the door.

Once Carly entered, she asked to speak with Nina alone – which led to a stare-down for the two of them.

Back with Michael, he got Josslyn Jacks’ (Eden McCoy) support in his time of crisis.

Josslyn eventually got a phone call summoning her somewhere, so she agreed to go.

Since Carly wanted Drew to spill Willow’s bio mom secret to Michael, he prepared to deliver the shocker. Drew admitted Carly was with Nina and said there was something Michael needed to know.

At Kelly’s, Cameron Webber (William Lipton) wasn’t acting like himself and kept raging over Esme Prince (Avery Pohl).

Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) pushed Cam to tell her what was really going on, so he admitted Josslyn broke up with him.

Cameron tried to blame everything on Esme and the video she released, but Liz gently helped him see that breakups usually happen for many reasons.

Once Cam acknowledged that he’d contributed to the split along with Joss, that made him even sadder about it.

Liz knew it was tough right now, but she assured Cameron that one day he’d look back and be grateful for the time he had with Josslyn.

In Alexis Davis’ (Nancy Lee Grahn) office, Gregory Chase (Gregory Harrison) insisted on pitching in since it’d been a busy news day.

After Gregory said he owed Alexis for helping Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) recently, he made it clear that he also enjoyed spending time with her.

Alexis enjoyed it as well, so she grew closer to Gregory as they talked about second acts in life. Gregory agreed to think about a new reporter career before heading out.

Once Alexis was alone, she received a phone call that got her attention and was eager to learn more.
