The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers recap for Friday, June 23, reveals that Hope Spencer (Annika Noelle) pulled back from her kiss with Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson), but then she dove back in to continue the make-out session.
Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) watched until he’d had enough and fled the scene, so Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) found him sulking soon after.
At the cliff house on Friday’s B&B episode, John “Finn” Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) thanked Taylor Hayes (Krista Allen) for helping with the kids this morning and mentioned that Steffy passed along updates about the successful event.
Taylor wondered if Finn had heard any other tidbits from Rome, so Finn said he hadn’t and assumed she meant about Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang) and Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye).
Since Taylor’s friendship with Brooke had taken a turn into the abyss, Finn asked how she was doing in light of that news. Taylor admitted she was disappointed in herself and in Brooke.
Although Taylor didn’t love the idea of Brooke and Ridge being in Rome together, she decided not to dwell on it.
Finn joked about playing therapist to her before Taylor said she couldn’t believe Liam didn’t go out there to be with Hope.
After Finn confirmed that Taylor could keep a secret, he mentioned how he encouraged Liam to fly to Rome as a big surprise. Finn insisted that Liam was finally with the woman that he loved.
In Italy, Ridge was holding up the line at the Aventine Keyhole since he couldn’t stop gazing at Brooke. Carter Walton (Lawrence Saint-Victor) tried to move things along before Ridge took off in search of his destiny.
Once Ridge raced to where Brooke was standing, she admitted she got lost. Ridge argued that he was the lost one, but now he saw his future and didn’t want to spend another day without Brooke.
After Ridge asked Brooke to be his Logan, she pushed him to keep saying it again and again. Ridge wondered if Brooke would be his Logan forever, so she said of course she would and kissed him passionately.
Meanwhile, Hope and Thomas joined hands as they continued their sight-seeing adventure. Once they made it to a café, they shared a toast to their success and exchanged sweet glances.
When a couple of Hope’s fans appeared and asked for a picture, Thomas happily took one for them and then suggested to Hope they should probably leave. Hope smiled at Thomas and was clearly enjoying their time together.
Back with Liam and Steffy, he spilled the story of finding Hope in Thomas’ arms and made it clear that Hope initiated the kiss.
Liam said this was the only thing that could tear his marriage apart, so Steffy was sorry and assured Liam that he didn’t deserve this.
After Steffy touched Liam’s arm tenderly, she wondered if there was any way he might’ve misinterpreted what happened. Liam was certain that Hope leaned in and “chose” Thomas in front of the Colosseum.
Once Liam said he couldn’t unsee his wife with his nemesis, he admitted he thought his marriage was over. Liam cried and accepted Steffy’s comforting hug as she once again said he didn’t deserve that.
Suddenly, Liam planted a kiss on Steffy, so they both had stunned looks on their faces when they pulled apart.
The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers say Steffy and Liam’s lip lock will make an already messy situation even messier, so stay tuned.
