The Young and the Restless Spoilers Recap: Friday, March 31 – Phyllis’ Ambulance Accident – Chance Finds Mask Evidence

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Friday, March 31, teases that Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) will finally show up at the gala to investigate what happened to Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford).

Chance will mention that he was on a stakeout after receiving a hot tip on a car theft, but the tip turned out to be a dud – almost like somewhere didn’t want him to be there tonight.

Jeremy Stark (James Hyde) will give Chance updates on Diane Jenkins’ (Susan Walters) altercation with Phyllis, which Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor), Summer Newman-Abbott (Allison Lanier) and Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) witnessed.

After Jeremy mentions Phyllis telling him about the faceoff, he’ll note that Diane said she should do the world a favor and strangle Phyllis to death.

Diane will explain how Phyllis lured her upstairs with a lie about Kyle being sick.

Once Diane says she was provoked, she’ll act like the threat was just something she said in the heat of the moment.

Chance will wonder if Phyllis hit her head or got any other injuries during the altercation, but Diane will insist she didn’t.

Jack will pipe up about Jeremy’s sudden marriage to Phyllis and act like he’s the one who needs to be offering some answers.

Chance will admit that Jeremy’s free to go for now, but he’ll urge him not to leave town.

Suddenly, Summer and Daniel Romalotti Jr. (Michael Graziadei) will rush in with shocking news since Phyllis’ ambulance never made it to the hospital.

It was gone when Summer and Daniel went out to the parking lot, so they headed to Memorial in a car.

Unfortunately, Phyllis was never admitted, and the dispatcher lost contact with the ambulance driver.

Summer will point out that Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) stayed at the hospital just in case, but she didn’t feel right just hanging around – and neither did Daniel.

Once Daniel and Summer push Chance to help, he’ll do some investigating.

Jack will turn his attention back to Jeremy and demand to know “what the hell” is going on.

As the night goes on, Jeremy will check his watch and seem preoccupied with his phone.

Leanna Love (Barbara Crampton) will think maybe she’s found a huge story and will look delighted with her suspicions.

When Chance approaches Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) soon after, she’ll ask if he really suspects foul play.

Chance will offer a “maybe” on that since Jack and Diane have a history of taking matters into their own hands, especially when it comes to Stark.

Chance will add that the animosity is dangerous before Sharon notices Phyllis’ mask is on the floor.

After Chance decides it might be evidence, he’ll wrap it up with a cloth napkin.

Back with Jack, he’ll tell Diane that he’s worried Jeremy may have done something to harm Phyllis. Despite Jack’s issues with his ex, he didn’t want harm to come to her.

Diane will assure Jack that she was simply pushed to her limit during that fight earlier and didn’t want anything bad to happen to Phyllis either.

When Diane asks if Jack believes her, he’ll insist he does and pull her into a warm embrace.

Daniel will worry about how long this is taking since Phyllis needs medical attention.

Once Chance gets a call, he’ll reveal that there was an accident on Collins Road involving one car – and it was an ambulance.

Chance will admit that’s all the info they have, but he’ll think they should prepare for the worst.

While Summer and Daniel look worried, Jeremy will sport a smug expression nearby.

Elsewhere, Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) will fret over Phyllis’ condition and warn Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) to keep her guard up with Devon Hamilton (Bryton James).

Lily, on the other hand, will feel like she has a reason to feel hopeful again.

At the bar, Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy) and Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) will discuss some possible medical reasons for Phyllis’ collapse.

Across the room, Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) will tell Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) that she thinks she can finally see the spark between Nate and Elena.

Victoria will seem annoyed, but Audra will hint about having a project to present to her soon.

Next, Victoria will talk to Nate about his gift for medicine, so Elena will point out that she always thought it was his true calling.

After Victoria says a person can have many callings, Elena will suggest she has some ideas on how to team up with Nate again.

At the Abbott house, Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) will turn down Tucker McCall’s (Trevor St. Johnson) marriage proposal, so he’ll suggest making it a fun ploy instead.

Tucker will note that they wouldn’t have to make an actual commitment, but they could still publicly announce their engagement.

Ashley will like the idea of stealing Jack and Diane’s thunder, so she’ll agree to think about it.

In the meantime, Ashley will push Tucker to make this McCall Unlimited deal happen with Devon. Tucker will talk about something deeper than a game going on between them, but he’ll think Ashley’s too scared to admit it.

Ashley will act like her upper hand on Tucker is what matters most, but she’ll share some passionate kisses with him before she sends him off.

At Society, Tucker will find Audra at the bar and act like they’re both outsiders.

Audra will think she’s doing just fine being accepted by the movers and shakers of GC, but he’ll call that a load of bull.

After Audra and Tucker take jabs about each other’s love lives, Audra will hint about having a plan in the works.

At Devon’s place on Friday’s Y&R episode, he’ll fill Abby Newman-Abbott (Melissa Ordway) in on Phyllis’ collapse after Jack and Diane’s engagement announcement.

Devon will also reflect on his mostly civil conversation with Amanda and his realization that family is the most important thing.

Once Devon considers his options regarding Chancellor-Winters and McCall Unlimited, Abby will vow to support him no matter what.

Devon will appreciate having Abby in his life and will move closer to kiss her.

The Young and the Restless spoilers say Devon could have a few more curveballs in his future, so stick with Y&R!
