The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) could use a new job now that Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) has tanked her plans again. This isn’t the first time Victor has derailed Sally’s career, but she’s no doubt hoping it’ll be the last!
Victor offered Sally the chance to run a new design division under the Newman umbrella, but then he backed out of the deal. Since Victor had already found another design firm for Jill Abbott (Jess Walton) at Chancellor-Winters, Sally is back to square one.
Of course, Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson) may not be interested in salvaging her partnership with Sally now that she’s botched this by trusting Victor. It might be time for Chloe to do her own thing while Sally does the same.
Regardless, Sally is the character who’s more important in terms of airtime and the stories she receives, so let’s focus on her future here.
It’s possible Sally will change her mind about accepting Adam Newman’s (Mark Grossman) job offer – or maybe she’ll accept one from Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) instead.
Regardless, Sally could work with Nick, Adam and Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) on the SNA Media and Kirsten Incorporated merger.
However, Sally has been adamant about not complicating things even further with Adam – and she’s never been keen on accepting a handout from Nick either.
After how Victor treated her, Sally may not want to work on any project with Newman ties anyway.
That brings us to another intriguing possibility now that Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) will be leaving town with Connor Newman (Judah Mackey).
Y&R spoilers say Chelsea will move Connor in with Anita Lawson (Catherine Bach) so he can go to a nearby school that specializes in helping students with anxiety and depression.
Chelsea will be living with Anita and Connor as well, so she’ll be working remotely. That said, Chelsea might also hire someone to be her eyes and ears at Marchetti based on dialogue in the August 21 episode.
Chelsea already has a team she can rely on, but maybe Sally could become her right-hand woman. It’s easy to imagine Adam suggesting the idea and getting Chelsea’s approval since Sally really knows her stuff when it comes to fashion.
Sally might even share the title of Marchetti’s creative director with Chelsea, especially if working remotely proves more difficult than Chelsea thought.
Although Summer Newman-Abbott (Allison Lanier) has a messy history with Sally, she’d probably be willing to give her a fresh start. Summer is seeking a new beginning in her own life and would understand Sally’s perspective.
Sally could really use a lucky break – not to mention it’d be nice to see her return to her fashion roots. It could also open the door to some new Y&R crossovers with The Bold and the Beautiful, so there are plenty of great reasons for Sally to reboot her fashion career.
