Molly knew she needed help for what she’s planning next – getting her baby back – so she enlisted Sam. Once Sam saw the video of Katie for herself she was willing to help despite the cost to herself. And unlike last time she actually followed through.

Sparks is starting to lose his mighty hold on his underlings. Sam is standing up to him and Kern is keeping information from him. Kern has Kryger in his custody but he made it out to look as if he had already “taken care of” Kryger. Sparks couldn’t have cared about that. All Sparks wants to know is that Kryger has been handled and he desperately wants back the last footage of Katie.

If the truth about Marcus and/or the baby ever gets out then Sparks needs to claim deniability. Something he can’t do with a video out there circulating. It’s evidence he and his team were forewarned about the missions.

Sparks has been hiding, for years now, how dangerous the space missions have become and Molly and Sam weren’t the only people he silenced. There were a few other people aware of Sparks duplicity. Like Derek Pearce. For a man with low level job – he’s somehow manage to partake in the good life. His luxurious apartment was bought for him by a mining company.

Though Molly didn’t know how to make connection between the mining company and her boss until Sam told her what she found when she started to look at Katie’s mission file. Sam was only supposed to look at their health yet she had notice something off with their records. One, they were fake. Somebody had tried to cover up what really happened. And, two, the records indicated a certain high level of a bodily chemical that generally shows after a mining mission.

Katie’s team wasn’t assigned to be a mining mission but the ladies now believe the mission she was on was deliberately sent to go looking for something. So the video Molly has – has just increased in value. Its proof he was capable of sending people to their deaths including his own daughter!

However Sparks has decided to clean house so to speak. He warned Sam off if or when Molly ever comes to her looking for help and the exact day Molly went to meet Derek – he killed himself. Or so the official report claims.

John wanted to drop everything when he heard about Derek. “Investigating” was simply too dangerous. Especially for their family (Ethan), but Molly wanted to keep going. She needed to know where her baby was. So she took the video of Katie and she made sure that Sparks knew she had it. For a while there she thought he had all the power in this fight yet the video gave her ample ammunition.

Sparks had tried to offer her his help. He told her he was willing to aid her in her search for the baby if she would do exchange of course (an obvious lie) and Molly told him she didn’t need him. She got his far by going rogue – what’s to stop her from finding her baby by herself.

Molly is so focused on the baby that she’s not paying attention to how her husband feels or about Ethan’s peculiar development. Ever since his accident, Ethan has been learning as accelerated rate when his programming was specifically installed to make as human as possible. It was presumed that he would learn on the same level as the rest of the kids in his class. And John doesn’t like him doing differently.

John can’t control much as the moment so it’s more of a need of his that he knows he’s still able to control Ethan. But when he attempted to slow Ethan’s progression down – he was overruled. Apparently, someone had reset Ethan’s access protocols. And that someone wasn’t Julie.

Did Ethan change his codes? Or was it Odin? In recent weeks, Odin has grown close to Julie. He courts her and she gets all silly around him. But Odin isn’t who he appears to be. He isn’t a vet that’s overcome his hardships – he’s a man still bitter about losing his arm because of a drown strike. That has made him resents all machines that have taken cover so to speak. And he and his fellow radicals view Ethan as an abomination.

They want to kill him!

As for the baby that oh so important, Molly overestimated her abilities. She tried to break in to see the baby and she was caught. Luckily it was by Kern. You see Kern and Kryger have been talking and Kern’s family history might even play a part in finding out what the baby really is. Kern’s father was a pilot and one day a voice he thought was from god told him to land his plane in field.

Well, everyone thought he must have gone insane but Kern always had his doubts so this baby, this sign of something greater out there, means something to him. He holds the baby up as if it’s the second messiah in hope his father wasn’t crazy. So he wants to help Molly re-claim her son.

Kryger on the other hand seems to be the only one of the three that thinks the baby is dangerous. He wants to expose the truth of it while Molly merely thinks of it as her baby. One she needs to love and nurture.

Although these conflicting ideals did not stop everyone from working together. They were planning on stealing the baby when Kern had heard from Sparks that that they were moving the offspring to a more secure location. Yet the offspring had had different ideas on the matter. He didn’t want to be moved so he caused a security breakdown from inside his incubator.

And by time Molly and Kryger arrived inside of the building (courtesy of Kern causing a distraction), the boy was gone.

Kryger went into the building prepared to kill the creature and Molly was so hurt by that she opened the incubator thinking she at least wanted to see her son one last time. And what she saw was the man her son killed to get out of the incubator. The baby isn’t a baby anymore – it’s aging at rapid pace.

So in the confusion of the break in and the issues Kern caused – it was Sparks that found the little boy (yes a boy now) hiding out in one of the many tunnels. And it was the illusion of Sparks’s dead daughter that convinced him to help.

Sparks honestly wants to keep that thing around not because of its untold value – namely to him and to his bosses – he just wants to see his daughter whenever he wants. He still hasn’t gotten over his lost

John rushed to be by Molly’s side once he heard she was breaking into the building and in doing so he left Julie and her new boyfriend in charge of Ethan until he go back. So let’s pray John hasn’t failed both of Molly’s sons! Because he sure is late to hop onto the bandwagon in the whole saving the baby and he just left Man vs. Machine nut practically alone (Julie can easily be dealt with) with his computerized son!

Will Ethan survive the night with the baby-sitters? Will Sparks hand over the boy to Hideki Yasumoto when the time comes?

So many questions and not enough time!

THE END!
