Kate Middleton Baby Girl Name Controversy: Princess Diana and Carole Middleton Banned by Prince Charles as Choices?

Prince William’s pregnant wife Kate Middleton’s due date is not until the middle to end of April, but the battle over the baby girl’s name is in full swing. A leaked 3D sonogram picture of the baby girl hit the Internet, courtesy of our friends at GLOBE Magazine, removing any doubt that the next heir to the throne is female. With less than a month left until the Duchess of Cambridge gives birth to Prince George’s little sister, the Royals are in a bitter feud over what to name the newest addition to the family, and Prince Charles and Kate Middleton are battling over what role Kate’s commoner family will play in the baby girl’s life.

The April 6th edition of GLOBE Magazine reveals, “Kate has included her mom’s name Carole and William’s mother’s name Diana on the list that they are considering. But that has sparked a furious row with Prince Charles, insiders are saying.” It’s no secret that Prince Charles and Kate Middleton have been feuding during the last few week’s of his daughter-in-law’s pregnancy because he is fed up with Carole Middleton and the rest of Kate’s family practically raising baby George, and he fears they will do the same with the new baby girl. Charles despises Carole Middleton because she has not only monopolized all of the grandparent duties, but is encouraging Kate to raise George as a commoner and not as the snooty Prince Charles wishes him to be.

Prince Charles is also adamant that Kate and William not name the baby after Princess Diana either, because he doesn’t want to upset his wretched wife Camilla Parker-Bowles or remind the public of his and Diana’s scandalous marriage and divorce. GLOBE Magazine explains, “With Charles’ nasty public divorce from Princess Diana being blamed on his lifetime affair with Camilla Parker-Bowles, it’s not surprising that they are trying to keep her name off from the list.”

At the end of the day Prince William and Kate Middleton will most likely settle on a safe name like Elizabeth to honor Queen Elizabeth and not increase tensions between the Royals and the commoner Middletons. Regardless of what Prince William and Kate Middleton decide to name their baby girl, they better choose soon, because Kate will be giving birth in less than a month. Do you think Kate would be brave enough to name her daughter after her commoner mother? Will she and William win their battle with Charles and name the baby after Princess Diana, or will they settle with Elizabeth? Let us know what you think in the comments below!
