The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Adam Newman Returns as Delia’s Killer Revealed – Chloe Forgives Arch Enemy

The Young and the Restless spoilers tease that Adam’s (most recently played by Justin Hartley) return will coincide with Delia’s (Sophie Pollono) true killer being revealed. Yes, the Christian (Jude and Ozzy McGuigen) paternity issue won’t be the plot point that resurrects Adam.

Elizabeth Hendrickson (Chloe) has already filmed her final Y&R scenes. So, that fine actor may have also completed advanced work that will be spliced with Adam’s revival in the near future, or she’ll return for a cameo. Chloe will forgive her arch enemy when she learns that Adam has always been innocent of the accidental death by vehicle charges (among other connected slurs) that were leveled against him.

Delia’s actual killer may be a newly introduced minor character, or a current player who will be written out. It appeared as though Dr. Harris’ (Ron Melendez) revealed backstory, whereby his daughter was killed by a drunk driver, may play into this storyline as well. But time will tell if that was just a dialogue red herring.

Y&R fans are right to point out that Michael Muhney (Adam prior to Hartley) recently took to Twitter to state that he hasn’t signed a contract to return to the show yet. As Genoa City loyalists also know, he’s not the only actor who could be recast in this role.

Of course Muhney’s rehire would certainly cause a social media frenzy. He’s recognized by a wide swath of Y&R’s audience and the entertainment world in general, as the most electric daytime actor of the twenty-first century. Of course, Muhney unfortunately became a controversial figure as well.

This scribe opted not to use the phrase ‘polarizing figure’ in the last sentence for a subjective reason. Self-proclaimed anti-Muhney protestors that emerged a few years ago were a minor group of loudmouths. Their numbers were and remained minimal because no facts were connected to the claims of those witch hunters.

So when (not if, again using guess work) Y&R recasts the Adam role it’s this author’s guess that it will be Muhney. Eric Braeden’s (Victor) recent and cryptic social media interplay with that actor and a fan buttresses said speculation.

Why bring Adam back as yet another man when Muhney’s work will draw and hold many more fans? Yes, Negative Nellie’s will scream and shout. They’ll pretend that their concocted stories are true and therefore Muhney’s rehire is the worst thing in world history.

But the show won’t fall and any backlash will surely serve to create more oomph, as Y&R will calculate. CDL is a leading source for everything linked to The Young and the Restless. Check back regularly for Y&R spoilers and news!
