The Selena Gomez and Demi Lovato friendship was a big thing back in the day. They used to be your regular BFF’s back in their Disney days, but those days have vanished like the mist on a bright autumn morning. Demi and Selena followed different life paths and at the risk of becoming too sentimental on you, their choices had a lasting impact on their friendship.
Selena remained the good girl next door, while Demi strayed into a world which resembled an indie teenage flick about self-harm and hair flicking. In a new interview with Self magazine, Demi opens up about her demons and says, “I make time for myself and meditate.”

Demi, a self-confessed cutter, says that she surrounds herself with positive influences. She says to the magazine, “My friends and I look out for each other.” Unfortunately, Selena Gomez is not part of that friendship circle, but Demi ever so tenderly explains, “Selena and I aren’t as close as we used to be, but she’ll always have a place in my heart.”

These two ex-BFF’s have the pressures of their careers and the spotlight of the world to blame, but hey, nothing that a quick gossip session at the local coffee shop couldn’t fix? For their sake, we hope they work it out and buy those broken-in-half-heart bracelets and pledge their everlasting friendship in a tree house.
