Debbie Rowe will testify in the Michael Jackson wrongful death case, and what she has to say about his drug use certainly won’t help his family’s cause. Rowe will be called by AEG Live, according to TMZ, and will say that as early as the 1980s, MJ was abusing prescription meds.
Debbie blames Jackson’s good friend Dr. Arnold Klein the rumored biological father of Prince and Paris Jackson for enabling Michael’s habit.
According to TMZ Rowe will say that Dr. Klein had a standing order from Michael and when he came to the dermatologist’s office, he would be injected with Demerol and Vistaril.
That last part is crucial for AEG Live, as the company argues that it had no reason to know Michael was a drug abuser or the extent of said abuse. The only problem I see with the case is if everyone knew Michael had a drug habit and was addict than everyone is at fault for enabling Michael, including AEG. Turning a blind eye to a star’s deadly drug use while profiting from the addicted star is not right and makes one guilty too (ahem, GLEE! anyone…).
Debbie Rowe will say she saw MJ coming out of Klein’s office days before he died, and when he passed away, she tore Klein a new one on the phone:
“What the f**k did you give him? He’s dead and it’s your fault.”
She then hung up on him.
The testimony could be huge, because if a jury feels he could hide hardcore drug use, the argument that AEG killed Michael Jackson may not hold water. The testimony could be huge for AEG but detrimental to Debbie. Will a fragile Paris Jackson forgive her for helping to further destroy her father’s name and legacy. Paris just attempted suicide and now her mother Debbie whom she was trying to build a relationship with will be speaking out against the one person she adored and loved most—Michael Jackson. Of course MJ’s reputation is already finished – with all the convincing evidence that he was a serial child molester and junkie.
The Jackson family should have left well enough alone and this trial should never have seen the light of day. Michael’s skeletons and demons are on full blast for the world to see and ultimately his legacy will take the hit. Michael’s ultimate fans will forever love him but the damage has been done and this will tarnish what he spent so many years to build. Do you think Debbie needs to testify in this case? Is her testimony more important than her relationship with her daughter? Can Paris handle another betrayal? Share your thoughts.
