Chris Soules and Whitney Bischoff are “happily engaged” – or anyways that’s what they want everyone to believe. Since Chris and Whitney filmed The Bachelor finale in November and he gave her the final rose and got down on one knee and proposed to the Chicago nurse, their relationship has hit some major speedbumps and cheating scandals. But, the reality TV couple is playing coy in interviews and during public appearances and hinting that they are still together because neither one of them wants to give up their new celebrity status.
Before they appeared on the 2015 season of The Bachelor, Chris Soules was a farmer in Iowa and Whitney Bischoff was a nurse in Chicago – who could blame them for wanting to stretch out their five minutes of fame and not return to their old, mundane lives. It’s no secret that Bachelor and Bachelorette couples fade in to oblivion if they don’t get married and start popping out babies. So, in order for Chris and Whitney to continue being relevant, they have to continue their engagement charade and try to keep a lid on the fact that they broke up weeks ago.
Chris Soules has gone Hollywood – and he’s not looking back, his farming career is a thing of the past, and now he is competing on Dancing With The Stars. Since The Bachelor finale Chris Soules has been linked to cheating scandals with his fiancee’s best friend, his dance partner Witney Carson, and his former fiancée Sheena Schreck. Whitney Bischoff doesn’t seem to mind though – and has been rumored to be seeing a few guys herself since she moved to California with Soules. After the disastrous relationships between Juan Pablo and Nikki Ferrell and And Dorfman and Josh Murray, Chris Harrison and The Bachelor producers are pressuring Whit and Chris to stay together for the sake of the franchise. And, they are both going along with the charade without any qualms because they don’t want to give up their new found fame and return to their old “Average Joe” lives.
