The Young and the Restless spoilers tease that Dylan (Steve Burton) will gain information that helps to reveal Sully’s true identity. His aunt Patty Williams (Stacy Haiduk) will follow up on her visit with Sharon (Sharon Case) by making another phone call.
The information she offers to her nephew via telephone will draw him to the mental health facility where his dad’s (Paul, Doug Davidson) sister is residing.
Prior to being taken away for the murder of Dr. Sandra Anderson (Elizabeth Bogush), Patty uttered indecipherable information about a little birdie. Now that she’s more coherent Dylan will carry what he learns from his aunt back to the cottage.
Sharon will be rattled by what her husband relays and try to convince him that Patty is simply deranged. However, Sharon’s latest coverup scheme will eventually crumble and result in Sully being taken from her life forever.
Purely as a refresher: Sharon had voluntarily checked into Fairview and was under Dr. Anderson’s care. She had no idea that Sandy was intentionally drugging her so that she would believe she was carrying a child. The idea that Sharon’s loved ones weren’t able to overcome the faked notice Sandy had her sign restricting visitors was a bit much.
But, daytime drama fuels certain plot lines with the unbelievable in order to push certain storylines. And so, no one but Patty knew that Sharon wasn’t actually with child.
Dr. Anderson’s diabolical revenge plot seemed like something a jilted high school senior would concoct with her social media pals. Yet, it worked. Sandy used a nurse at Genoa City Memorial Hospital to take Christian shortly after Sage (Kelly Sullivan) gave birth prematurely.
She and Nick (Joshua Morrow) were devastated to learn that their son wasn’t able to survive past a few days of life. Of course, the circumstances surrounding Christian’s death notice were rather soapy. Both parents were initially denied seeing his body, which wasn’t challenged and clearly seemed out of character where both individuals were concerned.
That key fact allowed Sage and Nick to be convinced that Christian had actually left the earth.
In coming days, Dylan will feel equally betrayed and furious when he learns that Sharon confirmed through a DNA test that Sully wasn’t their child. Like almost everyone, both characters believed that Nick was Christian’s father. So, they’ll relinquish Sully amidst countless tears.
Then the other half of this reveal will play out, as Nick is shocked to discover that Christian is actually Adam’s (formerly played by Justin Hartley) son.
