The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Hilary’s (Mishael Morgan) insemination plan will move forward. She confirms her appointment in Wednesday’s episode, so she’ll be ready to roll on her latest baby plot. Back when Hilary was planning to raise a kid alone, she just couldn’t find a sperm donor as suitable as Devon (Bryton James). He’s the ideal father for her little one.
Hilary specifically wants to have Devon’s baby, especially since he’s locked in this co-parenting agreement now. It’s clear that Hilary’s still in love with Devon, so she feels like this could be her last shot at winning him over. Babies tend to bring people together on soaps. Hilary will indeed boost her chances of being with Devon if this insemination results in her pregnancy.
However, The Young and the Restless spoilers say some major obstacles are coming up. Even if Hilary manages to put a bun in the oven, she’ll still have to keep a huge secret from Devon. Hilary will know that their first baby-making attempt didn’t pay off. She’ll inevitably face some guilt as time goes on.
Hilary might decide to come clean based on that guilt, but she usually only confesses when she’s backed into a corner. There are plenty of ways to get caught. For example, Devon could see a bill for the insemination. He could also be with Hilary when she happens to run into her doctor. If the doc mentions the successful appointment, Hilary’s scheme would be exposed.
Hilary could even get caught discussing the matter with Phyllis. Whatever the case, Y&R fans can expect another explosive fight. The Young and the Restless spoilers say Devon will find out the truth soon. He’ll undoubtedly be furious that Hilary would go behind his back like this. She knew he was desperate to wiggle out of their baby plan, so he’ll lash out at her for going against his wishes.
The bad news is this should cause one more setback for Hilary and Devon’s reunion. The good news is the future still looks bright. Once Devon and Hilary get through this storm, they can focus on the next chapter. Since Hilary will hopefully be pregnant, they can grow closer as they prepare for a family.
