Robin asked for a small favor. The author had wanted Magnum to go with Higgins to pick up his latest yacht and Magnum had agreed because he really wanted to know why Robin named his boat “TR Bell”. There wasn’t a lot that the name could stand for and so he began questioning if it was about tax returns maybe, but Higgins shut that down. She couldn’t figure out the meaning of the name and she was former MI6. She reminded him of that as well as told him others indications that proved she was smarter than he was. Magnum was complaining about how there was plenty of things he knew that she didn’t when they got a distress call. Someone said their boat had broken down and that they needed assistance. And so Higgins decided to take the TR Bell to rescue these poor unfortunate souls.

Only Higgins should have remembered her Disney. She sailed right into a trap because the guys on the other boat pretended to need help and then pulled a gun on her. Higgins didn’t want to back down and so she got into a fight with one of the men, but then the other shot her in the arm and she went overboard. Magnum quickly jumped in after her and so by the time they both came up for air there weren’t any boats to be found. The thieves took their two and left the pair stranded. Neither Magnum nor Higgins knew how to get back to the mainland and one of them was injured. The angle the bullet went into Higgins’s arm could mean that it hit an artery and so Magnum didn’t think they should wait around for long. He suggested that they swim back to the mainland and at first Higgins disagreed.

Higgins probably disagreed just because it had been Magnum to make the suggestion, but she couldn’t chum water for long and was still bleeding profusely from her arm. She knew that she drew for sharks and wanted to at least try to live. They did their best to swim against the tide and while they were doing that it had been up to Magnum’s friends to figure what was happening. The two were alerted when the boat hadn’t made it back and Kumu even said that AIS had been turned off. That was the Automatic Identification System and Higgins would never it off because she was too cautious about it being her employer’s boat. And both Rick and TC knew that so they went to look for their friends by contacting Rick’s smuggler friend about any latest jobs that happened on the open water.

They got a tip that one guy was bragging and they had tried to carry out a citizen’s arrest. Detective Katsumoto told them there was no such thing and that they didn’t have proof anything happened on the boat. He said he was going to need something more before he charges a guy and so Rick and TC has to use something else to find their friends. They sweet-talked their way into seeing everything that had been on the man called Double K. He had a cell phone with images of boats on it and there was one boat that still had a name. The guys figured they could track down this boat to see which dock the smugglers were using and as they were putting this together there was a pair of swimmers that spotted land. Higgins sadly lost consciousness before she could make it and so Magnum had to swim the both of them to shore.

Once they were on land again, Magnum noticed that Higgins wasn’t breathing and so he performed CPR until Higgins was awake enough to tell him how much she hates him, but they weren’t out of danger yet. They hadn’t exactly made to the mainland and so they were on a very small island that showed them there was nothing around for miles. Magnum made sure they had something to eat and he even started a fire so that they could be spotted easier. They waited for some sign or another that rescue was coming and the first boat they spotted just happened to belong to the smugglers. The smugglers realized that Magnum could still be alive when his friends began sniffing around their operation and so they weren’t even at the docks when Rick and TC showed up. The two had been too late for answers and it was the smugglers that reached Magnum and Higgins first.

They recognized from a distance that they were in trouble and so they began planning. They came up with the idea to sneak on the smugglers’ boat and take that back to the mainland, but in their fight to get the boat they ended up shooting a hole into it and so they were back to being stranded again when TC and Rick did finally show up. The pair used the tracking device that the smugglers had left on and they just basically followed them until they could rescue their friends.

Higgins and Magnum later took the yacht back onto the water for some “r&r” though it wasn’t long before they were arguing again.

THE END!
