Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that Kate Roberts (Lauren Koslow) may find herself increasingly drawn to Jake Lambert (Brandon Barash). DOOL fans know Kate defended Jake somewhat during a recent chat with Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn).
Kate felt like maybe Chad was letting his feelings about Stefan DiMera (Brandon Barash) cloud his view about Stefan’s twin brother, Jake.
Even so, Kate offered to keep an eye on Jake for Chad – and that’s exactly what she’ll do. Of course, we should note that Kate already had that awkward run-in with Jake when he was half-naked and fresh out of the shower.
Jake was wearing only a towel, so we all know how situations like this usually go. It feels like Days is setting up some kind dalliance between Jake and Kate.
During the week of October 12-16, it looks like Kate will drop by the garage – perhaps under the guise of having her car repaired. Whatever the case, Kate will make an excuse and actually manage to bond with Jake.
Perhaps there’ll be some flirting going on, even if Kate and Jake don’t want to admit it. They’re both the kind of people who enjoy a little dance like his – a bit of a challenge. This could be paving the way for some conflict after Gabi Hernandez DiMera (Camila Banus) arrives back in Salem.
Days of Our Lives spoilers say that once Gabi returns, she won’t be able to just pick up where she left off with Jake. The changes in Jake’s life will prohibit that. Since there haven’t been all that many changes since Gabi left, those must still be to come.
What might prevent Jake and Gabi from moving forward as a couple immediately? We’d say maybe Kate – especially if Gabi comes home to find Kate in bed with Jake! Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien) got a rude awakening when she discovered Jake and Gabi’s hookup, so it might be Gabi’s turn.
It’s easy to imagine Gabi returning to the DiMera mansion – calling out to Jake as she hopes for a reunion kiss and eventual lovemaking session. Gabi may want to confess that she lied about Jake not meaning anything to her.
It was all an effort to make Jake give up and move on, but there’ll be no need for that once Gabi’s free and home.
Just imagine Gabi’s shock if she walks in on Jake and Kate in bed together. Gabi has a complex relationship with Kate, but they’re friends depending on the day you ask.
This is bound to feel like a betrayal, especially since Gabi may feel like Jake moved on so fast – and with Kate of all people!
Could this be one of the changes in Jake’s life that’ll prevent an instant reunion with Gabi? There’ll surely be something to rile Gabi up when she returns home, so stay tuned. As other Days news rolls in, we’ll pass along updates.
