Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers reveal that Jake Lambert’s (Brandon Barash) ex-girlfriend, Gwen (Emily O’Brien), has made quite a first impression with viewers. Gwen’s certainly bold when it comes to her opinions. In her recent chats with Claire Brady (Olivia Rose Keegan), Gwen was quick to speak her mind! It’s clear that Gwen’s not afraid to get in someone’s face and push a few buttons.
However, Gwen manages to straddle the line between snobbish and supportive. She gave Claire a hard time, but she remained friendly toward her in the end. Of course, there’s also a sneakiness under the surface.
Gwen seems like someone who looks out for herself before anyone else, so Days of Our Lives spoilers say Claire had better watch her back!
We can’t help but notice that Gwen seems to have a lot in common with another DOOL character. Doesn’t Gwen seem kind of like the female version of Xander Kiriakis (Paul Telfer)?
Xander’s been focused on Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey), who’s a good match for him in some ways and a bad one in others. It wouldn’t hurt to consider another love interest option for Xander.
With Sarah, it seems like Xander is never going to measure up. Xander couldn’t stick around long-term as a dark villain, so it’s nice that Sarah’s been able to transform him into someone who does bad things for the right reasons.
Even so, Xander’s at his best when he’s a bit mischievous. Many Days fans don’t want to lose that devious aspect of Xander’s personality.
Sarah may get back together with Xander and learn to live with his flaws, but Gwen seems like the kind of gal who wouldn’t consider them flaws at all. Gwen and Xander might actually be pretty fun as a scheming duo. They both have lovely accents, so that’d be a treat for viewers’ ears as well.
Naturally, Xander’s hung up on Sarah, so it’s tough to imagine him truly opening his heart to another woman right now. Still, Sarah’s moving on with Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) from Xander’s perspective. Brady and Sarah’s vengeful charade could push Xander to seek a hookup of his own in the meantime.
Gwen might be the ideal person since she’ll be new in town following her Bayview release. Xander hasn’t had a chance to burn Gwen yet, and she hasn’t had a chance to burn him either.
Gwen should end up struggling with her own romantic woes due to her complicated relationship with Jake. That could leave Gwen lonely and drawn to Xander, who’s charming and similar to her.
It might be interesting if Xander and Gwen hit it off – at least as friends but perhaps as more. We know Xander will sit beside Sarah at Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson) and Ciara Brady’s (Victoria Konefal) wedding, but so much can happen between now and the end of July.
Even if it was for one night only, Xander and Gwen could let passion erupt if they land in the same orbit.
