The Young and the Restless spoilers document that Lauren Fenmore (Tracey Bregman) has benefited from Fenmore’s partnership with Jabot in recent years. Now, with Dina Mergeron’s (Marla Adams) Alzheimer’s condition becoming Jack Abbott’s (Peter Bergman) main focus, he could ask his trusted confidant to play a greater role in his family business.
Jack’s intent would be to have Lauren oversee his role, which is a power-share with his son. Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) has the intellect to address business matters, but lacks the seasoning that’s needed to see beyond today, in Jack’s measured opinion. So, a call to Lauren, who shrewdly negotiated the Fenmore-Jabot agreement, would make sense.
Young And The Restless Spoilers – Classic Episodes Highlight Legacy Characters
Bregman’s character is squarely in the legacy category. This actor joined the cast in the mid 1980’s and has always been Lauren.
As viewers saw in recent months through classic episodes, Lauren has evolved significantly. Her mean-spirited battles with Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland) are mere youthful memories, with both ladies having long since put that era of their lives behind them and actually reaching a point of mutual respect.
It’s been particularly meaningful for Likey fans (Lauren plus Michael Baldwin, as played by Christian Le Blanc) to watch this couple’s development and Y&R’s expansion of the Baldwin family. Part of that history, which wasn’t directly referenced in recent weeks, involved Michael’s desire to see Lauren pair with Cane Ashby (Daniel Goddard). That happened during a time when Le Blanc’s character believed his own life was in jeopardy.
Young And The Restless Spoilers – Dina Mergeron Storyline Appears Near Climax
It’s challenging to estimate how long Y&R will play out Dina’s storyline. Sadly, it appears that Adams won’t be part of the cast for too much longer, as her character appears to be nearing the end of her life.
The Abbott’s made a family decision to bring Dina back home just prior to when the last new episode was shown. Jack and his sisters did so because they want to be with their mother while she’s somewhat lucid, as the savage effects of her disease take increasing hold.
Young And The Restless Spoilers – Michael Baldwin Misinterprets Situation?
A compelling, tied storyline would have Bergman’s single character, an unusual status he’s held for awhile, see Lauren as a romantic option. That would play off him also doing so with Jill Abbott (Jess Walton), Lauren’s sister, earlier this year.
Lauren could inadvertently lead him to believe that something was developing between them. Likey has been solid for a number of years. So threatening this particular couple’s stability would be a risky, but creative choice if it’s made.
