Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers update for Wednesday, December 8, teases that Lucas Horton (Bryan Dattilo) will rescue Sami Brady DiMera (Alison Sweeney) while Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) and Abigail DiMera (Marci Miller) get a cop visit. Allie Horton (Lindsay Arnold) will also receive some good news, so here’s what Days fans can expect.
At the DiMera mansion, Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) will be on a mission to find out who helped Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) flee police custody. He’ll suspect Kristen might’ve turned to someone in her family for help, but it certainly wasn’t Chad.
DOOL viewers know Chad wanted Kristen’s reassurance that she wouldn’t make a break for it, but her word obviously means nothing at this point.
Chad will let Rafe know he’s completely innocent and will have Abigail there to support his claims.
Of course, Rafe might think EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) was the more likely brother to help anyway. Although Chad may acknowledge EJ can be rather shady, it turns out EJ has an alibi.
Chad was at the office with EJ all day, so there could be security camera footage and other employees who can back that up.
Whatever the case, Rafe will also grill EJ himself sooner or later. He may leave the DiMera manse feeling satisfied that Chad and EJ weren’t involved in Kristen’s getaway.
That means Rafe will have to continue searching for suspects, but there’s one right under his nose.
Rafe doesn’t realize Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun) played a big role in helping Kristen skip town, but EJ has somehow learned the truth. That’s why EJ will taunt Ava with this huge secret on Wednesday’s show.
EJ will want Ava to know he’s got some power here, but he’d actually rather keep the truth hidden. Nicole Walker (Arianne Zucker) is finally willing to give EJ a chance – and that certainly wouldn’t be the case if Rafe dumped Ava over her criminal behavior.
EJ will choose to Ava keep her romance intact, which will preserve EJ’s own shot with Nicole as well. In the meantime, Lucas will race to Sami’s location and do whatever it takes to get her out of that shack.
Sami will manage to restrain Jason (Noel Gugliemi) with some ropes, but Lucas may break down any doors standing in his way to get to his ex. He’ll also shout at tied-up Jason once he comes to, but Jason may not be willing to surrender the name of who hired him.
Days spoilers say Sami will ultimately enjoy some fresh air for the first time since August and will thank Lucas for coming to her rescue.
That should bring a special moment between the former flames before Lucas takes Sami back to her other loved ones.
After Tripp Johnson (Lucas Adams) finds out about Sami’s call and Lucas’ mission to save her, he’ll comfort Allie until they receive the best possible news.
Sami herself will show up thanks to Lucas, so Allie will embrace her mom in this moment of pure relief.
Over with Kate Roberts (Lauren Koslow), she’ll be on cloud nine over her reunion with Roman Brady (Josh Taylor). Paulina Price (Jackée Harry), on the other hand, will be stuck waiting for Abe Carver (James Reynolds) to forgive her one day.
Once Paulina decides to confide in Kate, she’ll spill the whole ugly truth. Paulina didn’t want to let Tamara Price (Marilyn McCoo) raise Lani Price-Grant (Sal Stowers), but it was the best way to keep her daughter safe.
Kate will hear about Paulina’s abusive ex and understand since she’s haunted by abuse in her own past. This will give Kate an opportunity to share her painful history as well, so she’ll connect with Paulina in a brand-new way.
Days of Our Lives spoilers say Wednesday’s episode will bring some bombshells and happy reunions, so stick with DOOL.
