General Hospital Spoilers: Jason Arrested for Franco’s Attempted Murder – Peter’s Twisted Plot Sets Up Liz's Revenge?

General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Peter August (Wes Ramsey) might find himself hoping to eliminate two problems at once. GH fans know Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) has been trying to turn Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) against her brother, Peter August (Wes Ramsey).

It looks like Jason’s getting through to Britt, so that’s not something Peter will be happy about if he finds out.

Jason remains a threat to Peter, so there’s no doubt that Peter would like to finally be rid of him. As Jason recently pointed out, the only reason Peter kept him alive in the Russian clinic was to use him to murder Cesar Faison (Anders Hove).

Now it might be Peter’s chance to use Jason for the murderous purpose of killing Franco Baldwin (Roger Howarth).

It fits with this theme of Peter pointing “Stone Cold” in the direction of the people he wants eliminated – and Peter indeed wants Franco eliminated one way or another.

Peter can’t risk Franco recalling too many Drew Cain (Billy Miller) memories and ratting him out.

Once Peter discovers that Franco ordered a hit on himself and Jason is the hitman who promised it, that would certainly be a lucky break.

Peter could fake Franco’s dark downward spiral and make sure Jason ultimately pumps a bullet in him.

CDL has speculated on this possibility before, but we want to take it a bit further based on new information. In the January 22 episode, Franco wanted Scott Baldwin (Kin Shriner) to draw up some official document that would exonerate Jason and keep him out of prison.

Scott flipped out and even tried to call the cops on Jason for conspiracy to commit murder, but Franco argued that it was his idea.

Franco insisted that Jake Webber (Hudson West) would need a father once he’s gone – and Jason can’t be a good father if he’s behind bars.

After Scott refused and Franco threatened to go to another lawyer, Scott said to be his guest. He assured Franco the document wouldn’t be binding.

However, Scott settled down in the end and at least agreed to do what was in everyone’s best interests – which is awfully vague if you ask us!

General Hospital fans also saw Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) warn Jason that if ANY harm comes to Franco, then Jason is going to be sorry. Based on all the dialogue clues, it sounds like Jason could face some legal consequences no matter what kind of document gets drawn up.

Scott would surely side with Liz if she wants Jason thrown in the slammer for trying to kill Franco.

Notice we say “trying” to kill Franco since it’s doubtful Jason will succeed. Even so, General Hospital spoilers say the groundwork has been laid for Jason to go after Franco – presumably after Peter makes it look like Franco has gone dark again.

Franco may end up wounded rather than dead after the hit goes wrong. That could still leave Scott and Liz fuming over Jason’s dangerous actions.

On the other hand, Peter might fail to convince Jason that Franco has gone off the rails. In that case, Peter could try to carry out the hit himself and just let Jason take the fall.

Either way, Peter might hope to take out Franco and put Jason in prison. He might fail on the taking out Franco part, but Jason could still be arrested  and eventually go down for attempted murder!

Since Scott downplayed the idea that the document Franco wanted would be legal and Liz vowed revenge if Franco is harmed, Jason could find himself in big trouble with the law. We’ll bring you updates as other GH news becomes available.

General Hospital spoilers say some exciting curveballs are still to come, so stay tuned. CDL will have lots of other great General Hospital spoilers, news and updates to catch up on, so pop back in soon.
