General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Laura Collins (Genie Francis) will get some shocking news that changes her view of an important character on canvas. GH fans know Martin Grey (Michael E. Knight) is Laura’s half-brother along with Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober).
However, Laura obviously considers Martin to be the good brother and trusts him far more than Cyrus.
Laura’s made an effort to get to know Martin and start building a family bond. She also fought for Martin to have some form of contact with Florence Grey (Annie Abbott), so she has faith in the type of person Martin is and doesn’t think of him like ruthless Cyrus.
Unfortunately, Martin will make a move on March 26 that leaves Laura rattled.
Whatever trust that’s been established between Laura and Martin will go right out the window. General Hospital spoilers say Laura will be shaken up over what sounds like a major betrayal. Laura’s view of Martin will shift, so we have to consider what this might be about.
Could Martin decide to put his brother first and tell Cyrus where to find Florence? If Cyrus ends up finding his mom, it could have disastrous results.
Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) kicked off quite a crisis when she had Florence snatched from her facility and kept away from Cyrus, who loves his mother dearly.
That was escalating things unnecessarily – and now Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) can’t really do without the leverage to keep the peace. Carly put Jason in a bind, but another one may be on the way if Cyrus finds Florence due to Martin’s info regarding her location.
Martin could launch the next phase of Cyrus’ war with Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) organization and the family members he’s left behind. That could be why Laura’s so rattled by what Martin’s about to do and why she rethinks her support of him as the good brother.
Laura might see that family loyalty is still a thing between Martin and Cyrus, even if Martin isn’t the biggest fan of Cyrus. Although Martin blames Cyrus for the death of their father, Gordon Gray, Cyrus is still his brother and Florence’s son.
Martin’s decision to side with Cyrus could let Laura know she shouldn’t underestimate the power Cyrus has – or trust that Martin’s on the right team.
This could be the start of Cyrus and Martin growing a bit closer, which would certainly make Martin more of a threat in Port Charles. Being in Cyrus’ orbit can only lead to trouble.
Laura will also end up facing an offer from Cyrus during the week of March 29-April 2, which she’ll promptly reject. Martin’s help may embolden Cyrus and lead to more issues at GH, so Laura will have to stand her ground.
As for Cyrus, he’ll be holding all the cards if he has Florence back. Carly may not have anything to negotiate with when it comes to getting Jason off the hook for Franco Baldwin’s (Roger Howarth) murder, so we’ll see if she loses her leverage.
