Supergirl is joined by familiar faces from the past to help her stop Lex and Nyxly for good; Alex and Kelly prepare to walk down the aisle.”

In tonight’s Supergirl episode, Lex sends a video to the team after taking Esme. Alex is angered. Lex wants the destiny totem. He wants to meet tomorrow in a dead zone. After the video, Supergirl tells Alex they need to find the totems and power her up to stop Lex. They cannot give him the actual totems. She begs Alex to trust her.
Lex and Nyxly try to cheer up Esme. They notice her petals are disappearing. The need the totem now. Nyxly will not hurt the child and demands they do it her way. Lex agrees. Later, his mother tells him to drop Nyxly. He loves her and chooses Nyxly over his mother.
John helps Supergirl as she stresses over helping her family while Nyxly tells Esme stories about her childhood. Esme doesn’t like the stories. They are scary. Meanwhile, Kara promises Alex they will get through this.
Nia tells Brainy she is upset. She saw something scary in her dream. She invites him to see her dream. He does. They will face it together. They return. They know Esme is safe and they know where the Destiny Totem is.
Supergirl heads to get the totem. She is warned she needs to face her destiny without it. Alex appears and takes the totem. She is getting Esme back. Supergirl tries to talk her into doing it her way. Alex couldn’t forgive her if the plan fails.
Nyxly finds Lillian waiting for her. Lillian tells her Lex is incapable of love. He also doesn’t like aliens. Nyxly isn’t a fool. Lillian knows she doesn’t have her powers.
Brainy tells Supergirl she has another alternative. He can increase her powers with a foreign satellite. She can then find Esme and take what totem Lex has. The sun will be effected for 6 months however. Supergirl chooses to risk it. Lena thinks this is a bad idea.
Lex tries to harness the power of the gauntlet behind Nyxly’s back. She comes in. His mom was right. Esme comes in behind Nyxly. She gets scared. Suddenly the love totem is gifted to Nyxly. She is still angry at Lex. She will bring Esme back to her family. She tells Lex she feels pity for him.
Nyxly meets up with Alex and the others. She will give Esme for the totems. Supergirl powers up from the satellite. Just as they make the exchange, Lex and his mom arrive. He sets off a number of bombs. Meanwhile, the military moves in. They feel like they need to stop Supergirl. Brainy tries to stall them. Supergirl can hear it all. She tells them to shut it down. Brainy shuts off the satellite. Supergirl apologizes before leaving to get Esme.
Supergirl arrives to find Lex and the others all fighting. The stone is being thrown around. Esme gets it and throws it down. It breaks into three. Nyxly and Lex fight over their stones. Lillian is injured. Nyxly jumps into a portal. Lex follows her. Lena holds Lillian. Later, Supergirl updates the team. Lillian is stable but Lex and Nyxly keep using their stones, depleting love in the world. They do need Supergirl’s piece of the stone. She could fight them. Supergirl needs time to think. Soon enough she knows what to do.
Reports from the news shares stories of people fading away. Lena watches sad. She goes to Lillian who confesses she knew about her light at a young age. She stifled it and now she wants Lena to be herself.
Supergirl comes back to Brainy and the others. She thinks they need to empower the people and in turn this will cancel out Nyxly and Lex. They all agree. Brainy has an idea to communicate to all. Lena comes in. Lillian has passed on. She is sad but can help get the message out.
Supergirl talks to all of the citizens. She encourages them to be light, and defeat the darkness. Lex and Nyxly’s powers are dropping, Brainy reports. Supergirl finds Nyxly and Lex. They warn her, they are just getting started. They conjure a mini army behind them. They fight. Supergirl and the team bring back their superhero pals from the future while Lex opens the Phantom Zone. It backfires however since the phantoms pray on fear. They take Nyxly and Lex away thanks to Hubris who gives his life. Everyone claps in it a bitter sweet moment.
After the funeral, J’onn tells them the government wants to reinstate the DOE. Those from the future must go back though. They cannot stay for the wedding. Brainy says goodbye to Nia. He will always love her.
3 Weeks Later
Kara continues to watch the news. Everytime she thinks she needs to help the public helps themselves. Ms. Grant calls just then. She bought back Catco. She wants Kara back. She will be home from trying to save the coral reef.
Alex arrives to find Kara sitting and thinking. She tells her about Grant and the offer. But she cannot take it.
The job is demanding and she doesn’t know where she stands as Supergirl. Later, everyone joins together for Alex’s wedding. Brainy returns. He needs to be with Nia no matter what.
Esme is a flower girl while Kelly meets Alex at the alter. J’onn chokes up while joining them in matrimony. They each say their vows. Together, they are each who they are supposed to be. Alex now has her family.
Everyone enjoys laughs and talks the old days at the reception. J’onn is told by Winn he will have a son one day and doesn’t share more. He is happy and surprised. They all dance. Memories of Catco come up. Winn and Kara laugh about the past. Just then, Ms. Grant calls. Kara is torn. She doesn’t feel whole. Grant knows she is torn with her identity. She is after all, Supergirl. Kara cannot believe she knew. Grant tells her to join her two halves and be her full self. Kara has a lot to think about.
Kara talks to Lena and then takes off the glasses. She thanks Lena for always pushing her. Much later, everyone is together playing charades. Kara has revealed her identity and couldn’t be happier. They all cheers!
