The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers recap for Friday, June 4, reveals that Bill Spencer (Don Diamont) was arrested, but Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) stayed behind bars. Meanwhile, Hope Spencer (Annika Noelle) faced a horrifying phone call, so here’s how things played out in Friday’s intense episode.
At the police station, Bill insisted that Vinny Walker’s (Joe LoCicero) death was an accident and that the only crime was the cover-up. He argued that Liam was innocent. “I’m anything but,” Bill declared. He pushed Deputy Chief Bradley Baker (Dan Martin) to lock him up and let Liam go.
Baker ranted about how the Spencers thought they could get away with anything! He knew there was more to the story and wanted the whole truth.
Bill went over what happened that night again, so Baker got confirmation that Bill didn’t think a jury would believe in Liam’s innocence. He just left a broken and bloody body there according to Baker, who promptly placed Bill under arrest, too.
Bill wasn’t worried about himself and reassured Liam. He once again pushed Baker to let Liam go, but Baker argued that Liam played an active role in the cover-up and announced that he was keeping them both in custody.
At Forrester Creations, Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) told Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) that if Hope was happy, then he was happy as well.
Although Thomas lost himself for a bit, he felt he was back on track now and learned a lot about love. Thomas felt Liam had been given so many chances, but he was hopeful that Liam would make this one stick.
After Thomas received a reminder on his phone about his usual guys’ night with Vinny’s, he got choked up. Thomas missed his friend – and Ridge noted that he always would. Thomas still wanted to find the guy who did this and make sure he paid for it.
At the cabin on Friday’s B&B episode, Brooke Forrester (Katherine Kelly Lang) struggled to make sense of why Liam would leave the scene of an accident.
That just didn’t sound like something Liam would do. Hope insisted it was all Bill’s fault and revealed how he turned it into a crime through the cover-up.
“Bill deserves to be behind bars, not Liam,” Hope said. She told Brooke about Bill getting rid of the wallet and Vinny’s cell phone before driving away with unconscious Liam in the passenger seat.
Hope explained that Bill also got rid of the car. She felt Liam would be home with his family right now if it wasn’t for his selfish father.
Hope couldn’t sit by and let Liam go down because of Bill’s stupidity, so she got Baker on the phone. She wanted to tell the whole truth about what happened the night Vinny was killed, but Baker suggested he already knew.
Hope found out that Bill just confessed, so she hoped for Liam’s release and was disappointed when Baker wouldn’t even consider it.
Hope cried about how she was alone, but Brooke insisted she was never alone and did her best to comfort her daughter.
However, Hope was inconsolable as she insisted Liam was the love of her life. She didn’t know how long Liam would be gone and didn’t know what to do.
While Bill remained in the interrogation room with Baker, Liam was taken back to his jail cell. He gripped the bars and looked deep in thought. We’ll fill you in as other B&B news and updates emerge.
