The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will sense some new opportunities and work to make some big things happen for his family. It’s still early in 2021, so Victor will use the new year as a fresh start in many ways.
Of course, Victor is always eager to wipe the slate clean with Adam Newman (Mark Grossman). He’s been hoping to rebuild his bond with his son for a while now and Chelsea Lawson’s (Melissa Claire Egan) ordeal has given Victor that chance.
It’s terrible to see what Chelsea’s going through and what Adam’s going through as a result, but there’s a silver lining. This is really helping Adam open his heart to Victor again. Adam has been accepting Victor’s assistance and will continue to do so when the need arises.
Since there’s so much at stake with Chelsea’s recovery, Adam knows he can’t be petty or let his own pride get in the way. During February sweeps, Victor will push his bond with Adam a bit further. He won’t want to scare Adam off or pressure him, but Victor will feel like now is the time to keep mending fences.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Victor will prove he’s a good listener and will offer some solid advice to Adam when he needs it most. Victor may also sense that Adam could use an outlet for his anger – a way to channel his negative energy into something good.
There’s no denying that Adam’s been incredibly frustrated over Chelsea’s crisis.
Victor might think what Adam needs is a distraction and to feel like he’s part of something important again. Victor is always looking to keep Newman Enterprises growing and thriving, so there’s always a place for Adam there with his expertise and family connection.
Y&R fans can expect Victor to make a pitch to Adam and ultimately convince him to come back into the family fold – at least from the business standpoint. Adam will undoubtedly realize he’s never going to be accepted by his siblings, but he can live with that.
With Victor’s encouragement, Adam may see the potential to grow Newman and build it into a legacy that Connor Newman (Judah Mackey) can be proud of. Victor may work that angle to get Adam on board and convince him that this is the right thing to do.
Regardless, Adam will indeed land back in Victor’s business web for February sweeps, which will rile up three people in particular. Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) is bound to feel threatened by Adam, so we’ll see tons of backlash from her.
Victoria may sense that Victor’s trying to move Adam in and slowly position him to take over Newman Enterprises once more.
This seems like a situation where Victoria’s embezzlement scandal cover-up could come back to haunt her. Victor might eventually determine that Adam is the leader that Newman needs now. Victoria will definitely see the potential for this to turn into a sneaky CEO switch.
Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) will feel like Victor’s rewarding bad behavior when it comes to Adam and won’t like the idea of Victor getting sucked back in. From where Nikki’s standing, she’ll think Adam’s just going to hurt Victor and cause more destruction.
Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) will inevitably feel the same way, so this will be a case where Victor has to stand by Adam despite his family’s push against it. This could pave the way for even bigger Newman family issues, so stay tuned to watch the drama erupt!
