The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for the week of January 18-22 tease that trouble is on the horizon in Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) and Sharon Rosales’ (Sharon Case) new marriage.
Sharon and Rey are still madly-in-love newlyweds following a fun Miami honeymoon, but Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) is always going to haunt Sharon in some ways.
Sharon just isn’t the kind of person who can abandon the people she cares about, so she’ll continue to support Adam as he deals with Chelsea Lawson’s (Melissa Claire Egan) recovery battle.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Sharon will stop by Adam and Chelsea’s penthouse, which will lead to Chelsea fantasizing about “Shadam” kissing in some steamy moments.
Sharon will leave in a hurry after Chelsea scowls over this unannounced visit, so Adam may want to smooth things over by sending his ex a gift. That’s where the trouble will come in on Rey’s end since he’ll accept the flowers from a delivery person and note that the card’s from Adam.
Although Sharon may insist it’s just a friendly gesture of gratitude, Rey may not be so sure deep down. After all, it wasn’t that long ago that Adam was warning Rey that he would end up with Sharon, so Rey’s always going to be wary.
Even if Rey tells Sharon that everything’s fine, you can bet he won’t approve of Adam’s latest move.
Other Young and the Restless spoilers say Gloria Fisher Bardwell (Judith Chapman) will catch Kevin Fisher (Greg Rikaart) off guard by blowing back into Genoa City.
“What brings you to town?” Kevin asks Gloria in Y&R’s weekly preview video. “Don’t pretend like you don’t know,” Gloria fires back.
This visit will be a surprise to Kevin, but Gloria will think he should’ve been expecting her. This probably ties in with the embezzlement blackmail scheme that Kevin forced Gloria out of.
Gloria may feel like Kevin needs to help her out with a job or a handout since he cost her a boatload of money.
Whatever the case, Gloria will stir the pot in GC as usual. It seems likely Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) plan to take the high road with Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) will go right out the window.
Gloria might have some other dirt or at least some ideas that could help Phyllis take down her rival.
As for Abby Newman-Abbott-Chancellor (Melissa Ordway), she’ll have to accept some difficult news following her procedure. Abby has too much scarring from her previous miscarriage, so a fertilized egg can’t implant itself. Since this means Abby won’t be able to carry a baby, she’ll quickly sink into the pit of despair.
There are other options that Abby and Chance Chancellor (Donny Boaz) can pursue, but Abby will need to deal with this blow before they decide anything.
Chance will assure Abby that he can get whatever she needs, but she’ll disagree. “The one thing I need, I can’t have,” Abby says tearfully in Y&R’s latest promo.
Abby and Chance’s marriage will suffer due to this new development, but they’ll try to get back on track eventually. We’ll offer updates as other Y&R details come in.
