General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Dante Falconeri’s (Dominic Zamprogna) buried secret will ultimately be revealed, so Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) is sure to be stunned over Cody Bell’s (Josh Kelly) sacrifice and cover-up.
There have been several instances of Dante and Cody talking about some big secret in their past.
Dante clearly feels grateful over what Cody did when they were younger, but viewers don’t know the details of the story yet.
Cody even suggested that there was no reason for both of their lives to get messed up, so he clearly took the fall in some sticky situation.
However, that decision put Cody on a problematic path and has made him distrustful of cops.
Dante, on the other hand, has built a great life and even has a career in law enforcement.
It’s good that Cody doesn’t seem to resent Dante for that, but he’ll still manage to cause issues for Sam and Dante this fall.
Despite Dante’s gratitude over Cody’s past sacrifice, he’s wary of his buddy and the way trouble follows him everywhere.
Dante has a family to protect now, so that’s his priority.
Nevertheless, Sam may overhear too much at some point and grow curious about what Dante is hiding.
If Dante and Sam are going to have a trustworthy relationship, there can’t be major secrets between them.
Sam may be upset if she realizes Dante has been concealing some big puzzle pieces when it comes to his history with Cody.
Of course, there’s also a deeper story that GH writers will want to reveal sooner or later.
They can’t keep things so vague forever when fans are growing increasingly curious about what went down.
It’s just a matter of time before viewers learn about the trouble Dante and Cody got in as youngsters.
We’ll also find out how Cody exactly took the blame and protected Dante from the consequences.
It might be fun if the show casts younger versions of Dante and Cody for camp flashbacks since they’ve been known to do that sort of thing from time to time.
Regardless, the truth has to come out eventually! How will Sam feel once it does?
Will Sam feel better once Dante is finally honest or will the trust between them be hard to repair?
