The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) may forgive Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) for her Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John) secrets, but will Summer Newman-Abbott (Allison Lanier) stand against her husband’s decision?
One of the reasons Summer and Kyle are such a strong, successful couple is that they’re able to get on the same page.
Instead of fighting, Kyle and Summer tend to have a respectful debate until one of them comes around on the other’s point of view.
It’s clear that Summer and Kyle have excellent communication skills, but things can’t stay rosy in their marriage forever.
This is a soap, so there are always going to be little cracks in a relationship eventually – tiny ones that could grow larger or get patched up depending on what the writers decide.
Summer and Kyle may have a marriage test coming up since Diane is keeping her connection to Tucker under wraps.
Honestly, it seems like it’d be better for Diane to just come clean.
The fact that Diane is lying to Kyle and Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) may get her in more trouble than the secret itself.
Tucker isn’t a popular person in Genoa City, but it’s not like Diane was off robbing banks or going on serial killer sprees with him.
So far, it looks like Diane has merely reported back information she learned in the Abbott realm.
Considering Kyle forgave Diane for faking her gruesome murder and staying away for years, he can surely forgive some mild spy work!
Tucker seemingly helped Diane arrange for Jack to meet his granddaughter, Allie Nguyen (Kelsey Wang), but who cares?
That whole situation was strange anyway, but Kyle and Jack have already moved past it since Allie was such a welcome addition.
As far as anyone knows, Diane hasn’t done anything truly heinous that could land her in prison.
Kyle knows that Diane is a work in progress – and he also knows how intimidating Tucker can be.
After this alliance is exposed, Kyle may understand and have sympathy for Diane since she’s been controlled by a deal she regretted making in the first place.
Kyle may offer forgiveness pretty quickly, but will Summer disagree with that decision?
Summer may not be as quick to let Diane’s deception go, so that could cause some friction with Kyle.
That’s especially true if Summer becomes wary of letting Diane spend time with Harrison Abbott (Kellen Enriquez).
Kyle might think banning Harrison from his “Didi” is extreme and could prove detrimental, especially when Harrison has already gone through so much change and loss in his young life.
