The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Tuesday, September 27, reveals that Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) will reject Chelsea Lawson’s (Melissa Claire Egan) gift before Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) gets fierce over Johnny DiMera (Paxton Mishkind). Here’s what Y&R fans can look forward to.
At Newman Enterprises, Victoria will seem wary about Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver), but Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) will vow not to let anyone interfere with their plans.
After Victoria asks if he’s sure this is the right move for him, Nate will worry she thinks he’s not up to running Chancellor-Winters.
However, Victoria will assure Nate of her faith in his abilities.
It’ll just be a matter of whether Nate is willing to go the distance and risk the wrath of his family for this betrayal.
Nate won’t consider it a betrayal at all since he’s going to take Chancellor-Winters to the next level of success.
Once Nate makes it home, he’ll have another fight with Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy) about the lack of morality in what he’s doing.
Since Elena won’t recognize this version of Nate, she’ll think they need some time apart.
At the office, Billy will give Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) updates on talking to Johnny about Chelsea and how it didn’t go well.
Based on Chelsea’s latest behavior, Billy will fear that she’s trying to find a way to be Johnny’s mom.
At the Abbott house, Noah Newman (Rory Gibson) will share some lovey-dovey moments in the bedroom with Allie Nguyen (Kelsey Wang) before they join Summer Newman-Abbott (Allison Lanier) and Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) downstairs for a chat.
Later, Noah will grab coffee with Allie at Crimson Lights.
Although Allie will worry that Noah thinks their relationship is too easy, he’ll clarify that it’s easy in a good way since he’s not waiting on the other shoe to drop.
At Jabot, Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) will give Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) a giant gift basket as an olive branch.
Phyllis will call Diane out for offering it while Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) is standing there and will acknowledge that it’s certainly not subtle.
After Phyllis receives a text from Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) about new developments in LA, she’ll be urged to distract Diane in the meantime.
Phyllis will tell Diane that she’s exhausted over all the feuding and will hug her right as Summer appears with Kyle.
That’ll leave Summer grateful that Phyllis trying, but her mother will privately warn that secrets have a way of coming out.
Phyllis will add that she won’t have to do “one damn thing” to make that happen.
Back at the coffeehouse, Audra will introduce herself to Victoria and note that she’s a big fan.
Victoria will seem a bit on edge, but Audra will gush about Victoria taking Newman in a bigger, better direction.
Although Audra will be cagey about the consulting work she’s doing at Chancellor-Winters, she’ll hope to do lunch with Victoria since she’ll be in town for a while.
At Chancellor-Winters again, Chelsea will stop by to thank Billy for stepping up for her.
However, Billy will admit he’s second-guessing his decision to back Chelsea up on telling Johnny the truth.
Chelsea will insist she knows Johnny isn’t ready for her to participate in his life.
Even so, Chelsea will hope that Billy is willing to pass along something for her. It’ll be a baby blanket from when Chelsea was pregnant with Johnny.
Billy will find this inappropriate, so he’ll warn Chelsea that she’s overstepping and needs to back off.
That means no more gifts or reaching out when it’s unrequested since this has to be Johnny’s decision.
Once Chelsea leaves, Lily will give Billy a pep talk and offer to let him vent if he needs to.
As for Chelsea, she’ll show up in Victoria’s office and get an earful over how things went with Johnny.
Chelsea will hope that once the shock wears off, there’s a future where Johnny will still want her in his life.
After Chelsea suggests they should all work together to judge Johnny in that direction, Victoria will insist they’re only going to do what’s best for Johnny.
From where Victoria is standing, it’ll seem like Chelsea is trying to weasel her way into the picture – even when Johnny doesn’t want her.
Chelsea will argue that Johnny is a child and doesn’t know what he wants, but Victoria will ultimately remind Chelsea that she signed her rights away.
Once Victoria hopes that Chelsea isn’t trying to influence Johnny, she’ll point out that she’s the only mother Johnny has ever known and won’t stand for it.
Back with Kyle and Summer, they’ll be optimistic about the truce between Diane and Phyllis.
Summer will insist that nothing is going to get in the way of their vow renewal celebration now.
At Society, Jack will talk to Diane and mention something Phyllis said about Nikki discovering things in LA.
Diane will assure Jack that there’s nothing to find that will undercut or contradict the story she’s told.
Moments later, Diane will receive a text from her secret partner, who’s arrived in Genoa City and wants to meet with her ASAP.
After excusing herself, Diane will leave in a hurry and look alarmed over what’s brewing.
