The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Wednesday, March 9 Recap – Jack Investigates Mysterious Lurker Outside – Billy Confesses

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Wednesday, March 9, teases that Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) will investigate a mysterious lurker outside while Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) confesses to Lily Winters (Christel Khalil). Let’s discuss all the drama happening in Wednesday’s Y&R episode.

At Society, Lily will appreciate taking a break with Billy since work consumes their lives while working from home.

Billy will keep beating himself up over his first podcast session being a disaster, but Lily will insist they can launch it whenever he’s ready.

After Billy mentions going to Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland) for help since she’s experienced similar writer’s block struggles, he’ll also hope for some updates on Jack.

Lily will note that she’s going to pay Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) a visit, but Billy will advise against talking about the merger.

Billy will act like pressuring Devon isn’t a good idea, but Lily will suggest maybe her brother was just overwhelmed by the scale of what she was proposing.

When Billy brings up Lily and Jill Abbott’s (Jess Walton) disappointment over the pitch not panning out, Lily will wonder if that means Billy wasn’t disappointed.

Lily will push Billy to be transparent with her if he has any reservations, but Billy will insist he genuinely wants Devon to come around and hopes this all works out for Lily.

At the Abbott mansion, Traci won’t get an answer when she tries to call Jack.

Traci will call Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) next, so that’ll bring some news regarding the keepsake box and the unsent letters that Jack found.

Traci will be glad Keemo Nguyen’s (Philip Moon) last letter ended on a positive note, but part of her will wish the person behind all this had left things alone.

Phyllis will admit she’s not going to push on the mystery texter investigation since Jack’s already going through so much.

At Keemo’s house, Jack will dwell on what might’ve been and ponder the unknown people in the photo again.

Jack will also question who left this box and their motives, but he’ll decide he’s probably found all the info he’s going to get.

However, Jack will eventually sense that someone might be lurking outside. He’ll step out to look around, but he won’t see anyone.

After Phyllis shows up in a car, Jack will question if she saw anyone running away on foot.

Phyllis will admit she didn’t and will offer to let Jack be alone with his thoughts, but Jack will urge Phyllis to stay with him.

Once they’re in the living room, Jack will mention hearing a thump outside. He’ll consider the idea that maybe his texter is as curious about him as he is about them.

Jack won’t think the texter has malicious motives, but Phyllis will still have questions about why they wanted Jack in Los Angeles instead of just sending him the letters.

After Jack texts the mystery person and asks if there’s anything else to find, he won’t get a response.

Phyllis will be willing to do more research if Jack wants and will wonder if he’s happy he came there.

Jack will insist this gave him some small connection to Keemo and was much better than being left in the dark.

Jack will be deeply grateful to Phyllis for encouraging him to head down this path.

As Jack prepares to leave with Phyllis, he’ll bring up all the questions about Keemo’s life that he’ll never get answers to.

Jack will break down in tears over the son he’ll never know, so Phyllis will pull him into a comforting embrace.

Back in Genoa City, Devon will grow concerned when Dominic Newman-Abbott-Winters-Chancellor (Rainn and River Wilson) won’t stop crying.

A quick call to the doctor will put Devon’s mind at ease since she’ll think Dom is getting his energy back.

Lily will support Devon through that mini crisis before he convinces her to discuss the merger.

Devon will admit that although he’s not on board yet, he’s not opposed either.

Devon will mention Amanda Sinclair’s (Mishael Morgan) insight as well as a dream about a smiling Neil Winters (Kristoff St. John), which could be a sign of approval.

Devon will still want to see how the podcast project goes first, so Lily will insist she’s fine with tabling the discussion.

That’ll leave Devon grateful for Lily’s patience.

Once Billy makes it to the Abbott mansion, he’ll find out the latest Jack details and worry about Phyllis’ involvement in the trip.

Billy will also explain his podcast woes to Traci, who’ll suggest meditation might be helpful.

After Billy hints at some issues that he has with Lily’s latest idea at Chancellor, Traci will push him to be honest before it goes any further.

Later, Billy will come clean to Lily and wonder what this merger would mean for him.

Billy will know Devon would bring in his own people and will worry that Lily might not even need a COO.

Billy will think it could mean redundancy and leave him on the outside looking in.

Although Lily will understand Billy’s concern, she’ll promise that he’ll always be the person she leans on the most – no matter what happens at Chancellor.

Lily will insist Billy is her right-hand man, so he’ll seem reassured as they gear up for lovemaking.

The Young and the Restless spoilers say Billy’s insecurities and doubts could creep back in sooner or later, so stick with Y&R.
