In tonight’s 90 Day Fiancé episode, Jenny was already thinking it was a bad idea to move in with her in-laws. To be fair to her, things didn’t go well on day one. Her mother-in-law was intrusive. Sadhna went dig through all their things as they were moving in. She almost threw away Jenny’s liquor. She disapproved of them drinking and so Jenny feared the worst. Jenny still tried to be nice after that because she wasn’t totally without etiquette. She made dinner for everyone. She made spaghetti. It did not go over well. They were Indian. They needed more than boiled prepackaged pasta and sauce from a jar. They need seasoning.
Jenny has been living in India for years. She’s been with Sumit for fifteen years. She hasn’t learned to cook anything. She hasn’t learned the language. She doesn’t understand the role of the Indian wife. Sadhna hated the pasta and unfortunately that’s the only thing Jenny knows how to cook. Jenny also pretty much leaves the cooking to Sumit. She didn’t think she had to clean up everyday. She thought she could go out and work. Sadhna informed her that plenty of Indian women work before coming home to clean. And so things were not going well.
Down in Aruba, Johnny got to tell his side of things. He was a lot more honest about their relationship. He loves Chloe. He wasn’t exclusive in the beginning and then again neither was she. She was talking to guys online. He checked her phone one day. He saw sexually explicit messages to another guy and it led them to finally becoming exclusive. They just don’t trust each other. Chloe has access to the security cameras at his home. She checks them to see if he goes out or if strange women were coming back to his place.
Chloe freaked out a week before the move because she saw Johnny, but not come back in. He was out on his porch. The cameras simply didn’t cover it. He had to tell her that his car was still in the drive. He also said he wasn’t smart to find a way around the cameras. Not that she believes him. She calls him all the time to check up on him. It was sometimes the middle of the night. He still hears because he doesn’t want her getting any ideas. Johnny was in his thirties. He was ready to settle down. He sought commitment.
It was Chloe that wanted to party. She was twenty-three. She thinks she’s ready when she’s not. She comes to Aruba on vacation and she has no idea how to live down there. Or what it would mean to become a wife. Johnny has seen plenty of American women that came to Aruba to party. He hooked up with a few of them. He didn’t want Chloe to be one of them because he was ready to leave the party lifestyle behind. Was she? Johnny won’t know until they move in together and right now his biggest concern was the lack of trust on both sides.
Madelein has received some bad press lately for allegedly being a gold-digger in Colombia. Her fiancé was an American. He was heavily in debt and there were plenty that didn’t like how much Madelein was spending on the wedding. Only she was buying an apartment to turn into a rental home. She was using her own money. She also has a beauty salon that was doing well. She was now doing pageants on top of that along with being a party promoter. Madelein was hustling with all that she does.
Luke also wasn’t perfect. He was talking to another Colombian woman a few months ago. He apparently told the other woman to say his contacts under the name “hubby”. Madelein found out about it. She confronted him and he said he did it because he wasn’t getting enough attention from her. Which even she knew was sketchy. He can’t blame her for his cheating. He should communicate without trying to find a backup woman. It’s a good thing Madelein secured her bag because Luke might go broke soon.
The next woman was self-professed weird. Her name is Greta. She’s new this season. She’s twenty-seven. She’s from Oklahoma. She fully admits she’s not normal and that’s because the supposed normal people are boring. She’s also obsessed with her cat named Hazel. Hazel was her whole world. She was a huge animal lover. She wants go into Animal Law. She got a degree in the states. It just won’t work in the UK. Greta was moving to the United Kingdom for love. She met Matthew who was twenty-six on an app that acted like vegan Tinder.
What caught her eye was the fact that he had an actual job. He wasn’t a hippie or jobless like the other guys on that particular dating app. He works in Finance. He was a huge nerd like her. He loves animals. It’s the reason he’s vegan like her. They’ve been together for more than a year. She frequently flew in to see him. They have had arguments about economics. Its what told Greta that he was the one. Then Matthew proposed and she said yes. Greta was now moving to the UK to be with her fiancé. And she was rehoming Hazel.
Hazel at eleven was set in her ways. She gets anxious around other animals. It could be a problem if Greta brought her with her because they were going to be living with his parents while they looked for a place of their own. Matthew’s parents already have both a cat and a dog. Greta was giving up a lot to be with him. The ball was now in his court on whether or not he’ll mess this up. He has a little time because Greta wants to get qualified to work in animal law in the UK. She needs to pass another bar to do so and it will take time.
The fallout of the fight between Manon and her sister-in-law had been interesting. Yes, Manon shouldn’t have confided about the state of her marriage to her husband’s twin sister. Sara also shouldn’t have aired their dirty laundry in front of everyone. It’s one thing they were struggling. Sara didn’t have to make it worse or lose Manon’s trust in the process. It wasn’t Manon’s idea to move. It had been Anthony’s. Anthony thinks they’ll live the dream life in France. He was the one embiggening the move.
If Sara had concerns, take them aside. Or at least wait until the other family members left to talk to your brother if it truly thought the problem was Manon. She just made the couple look bad. She didn’t see it at first until right before they were leaving and she finally apologized. Manon forgave her. Manon was very passionate. She sometimes says things in the moment that she regrets. She does love her husband. She loves how great he was with their son. She later told him that he and Ben were her American dream.
Manon got onboard with the move. She said she wasn’t going back as a failure. She was merely taking the American dream back with her to France. She also wasn’t quitting all of her jobs. She was holding onto the one that allows her to work part-time. She wants to be more present in her son’s life. She was the Sugar Mama in the States and now she wants to be maman in France. Anthony also said he was going to look for a job over there. He was thinking security for now. Hopefully, he finds something quick.
