Days of Our Lives Spoilers: Wednesday, December 16 Recap - Charlie Gets Violent, Admits Allie Assault - Demands Ava's Silence

Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Wednesday, December 16, reveal that Claire Brady (Isabel Durant) and Allie Horton (Lindsay Arnold) continued their conversation at the Brady house.

Claire told Allie all about Charlie Dale (Mike C. Manning), how they met, and she divulged that Charlie knew about the rape. Claire said that Charlie was compassionate and shocked by what had happened to Allie.

Claire gushed about Charlie, saying that he endured her crazy family wedding and that he approached her history of mental illness without being judgmental.

Allie asked about Charlie’s family, and Claire spilled the little bit that she knew, and she said that Allie would meet Charlie at Christmas. Allie eventually took off, and Claire happily sent Charlie a text message about spending Christmas together.

Meanwhile, over at Basic Black, Chloe Lane (Nadia Bjorlin) and Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) worked late on their first day back at the company.

Brady and Chloe agreed that they had a great first day, and Philip Kiriakis’ (Jay Kenneth Johnson) name came up, launching them into a conversation about Chloe and Philip’s connection in New York.

Chloe explained how she and Philip were beginning to reconnect in New York, when Mimi Lockhart (Farah Fath) intervened and dragged Philip to poker games, getting him in serious debt.

Chloe explained about how she took herself out of the equation when Mimi came along, and Brady surmised that Philip ran home to Victor Kiriakis (John Aniston) when he lost all his money.

Chloe said that Philip implied that there might be more to it than that, but that she didn’t know what. Brady eventually took off, ending their first day back at Basic Black.

Over at the Kiriakis mansion, Victor gave Philip grief over trying to cozy up to Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey) to get under Xander Kiriakis’ (Paul Telfer) skin.

Philip started feeling guilty about his partnership with Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun) and nearly told Victor about it, but Maggie Kiriakis (Suzanne Rogers) interrupted them to say that Ava was alive.

Victor was shocked, and he said that he was grateful that the Kiriakis family never had any dealings with Ava. Maggie took off, and Philip chickened out of telling Victor about his partnership with Ava.

In town square, Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols) and Tripp Dalton (Lucas Adams) strolled along on their way to Ava’s apartment. Steve wanted to talk, so they sat down, and Steve expressed his concerns about Tripp establishing a relationship with Ava.

Steve urged Tripp to be careful, and Tripp said that he wasn’t naïve about who Ava is and that he could handle it.

Steve ultimately agreed that Tripp should give Ava a chance, but that he should never underestimate what Ava’s capable of. Tripp thanked his father for looking out for him, and Tripp took off for Ava’s place.

As Steve was leaving, Allie came along, and Steve gently asked if he could talk with her. “We haven’t had a chance to talk,” Steve said.

At Ava’s apartment, Charlie insisted that he and Tripp were only half brothers, and that Tripp was the father of Allie’s baby – not him. “Just admit it,” Ava fumed.

“You raped her!” Charlie yelled back that he didn’t do anything and of course Ava didn’t believe him, since he was the “other kid” that she wanted to forget about…until she needed something.

Charlie lamented that he’d always be second best to Tripp, and Ava said that wasn’t true. Charlie pointed out that he had to live with his dad because Ava couldn’t be bothered to raise him.

Ava said that her child had just been ripped from her arms. ‘I was your child too!” Charlie yelled. “I needed a mother!”

Ava asked if Charlie attacked Allie to get back at her or possibly to frame Tripp, and she insisted that Charlie tell her the truth.

“Fine, I did it. I raped her,” Charlie said. Ava looked horrified and angry, and Charlie said that he made a mistake and that he feels awful about it. “Promise me you won’t say anything to anybody about it, please!” Charlie urged.

Charlie tried to guilt his mom into keeping quiet, saying that she’s never done anything for him in his entire life, and that she can stand up for him now. Ava was incensed that Charlie wanted her to sacrifice Tripp to protect him.

Ava said no, but Charlie violently grabbed her arm for a moment, and Ava pulled away. Charlie said that he wanted Ava to keep quiet and protect him.

“You said you loved me – prove it,” Charlie said, starting to cry. “Don’t say anything to anybody.” Suddenly there was a knock on the door, and it was Tripp. “Mom, it’s me,” Tripp called from outside the door. Charlie and Ava looked at each other, not knowing what to do.
