Have you heard of Reed Deming? X-Factor introduced us to the 13 year old from San Antonio, Texas this evening on the season premiere and it seems as if we could have ourselves another Justin Bieber. Some of you are rolling your eyes and some of you are screaming your pretty little faces off.
The tiny pop tart wannabe took to the stage with a side-swooped hair style just like the Biebs himself. The good news is that Mr. Deming’s voice doesn’t sound exactly like Mr. Bieber’s.
After Reed started singing “It Will Rain” by Bruno Mars it was evident that the kid was nervous. And with that, judge Simon Cowell told Reed to sing a different song a Capella.
The judges all were charmed by Reed and his tween attraction and it was obvious by the avid high-pitched screams in the audience that he already has started building his fan base. All of the judges joined together with a resounding “yes” so we will get to see plenty more of this kid.
And get this, according to his website he is no stranger to Simon Cowell. His site says that “he has fielded numerous offers and was recently a finalist in Simon Fuller’s Boy Band for the Next Generation nationwide search and a Kidz Bop nationwide talent search. In June 2011, he won Best Overall Performance at the Septien Entertainment Master’s Class competition at the House of Blues in Dallas, Texas.” Star factor? Indeed!
