It’s the top six tonight, Adam had a good week as Melanie and Amanda hit the top 100 on the Billboard charts this week.  CeeLo was sick all week and had to be away from his team, but he had support  and feels better now. Christina said goodbye to her final artists, Dez Duron but she is still excited to be on the show and she is loving Cassadee Pope.

We begin tonight with a 70’s hit that was hand picked by CeeLo and Pat Monahan from Train lended a hand to mentor Nicholas David, he is singing “September”.

Coaches Comments: Adam “I’m a fan man, the hardest thing to do is to show who you are and you did it. Something that was missing was you in the chorus, but you are still amazing”. Blake “It dawned on me that CeeLo is the only person that turned around for you and that makes me feel so dumb because you are an important part of this show”. Christina “You have more confidence as the show progresses, but I would like to see something changed up”. CeeLo “Ofcourse I agree with the coaches, I love you and appreciate you”.

Blake chooses a county song for Cassadee Pope, “Stand” by Rascal Flatts that is about redemption and facing your fears.

Coaches Comments: Christina “I don’t mind being your co-coach at this point, your chops are spot on the way you are hitting the notes, you are on the money and it is a lot to connect with everyone, you are an all around true star”. Adam “I wasn’t a big fan, but now I am, I am really pissed off that you didn’t pick me, now I want to see something more adventurous from you, something bizarre”. Blake “I want to continue to see you doing what you do perfectly, you made it your own, it was amazing.”

Up next is Adam’s Amanda Brown singing “You Make Me Feel Like A Natural Women” by Aretha Frankin.

Coaches Comments: Blake “The competitor in me wants to find something to critisize, but I can’t, you are world class”. CeeLo “I appreciate and adore all woman, it was a wonderful performance and love seeing a women feeling natural”. Adam “This is like, seeing this happen for you, I have seen it since you lost your mom, it was an all inspiring performance”.

Scottish rocker, Terry McDermott is next from Blake’s team and he is singing, “I Want To Know What Love Is” by Foreigner.

Coaches Comments: Christina, “There is no doubt after that Blake has the strongest team, I mean what I say and I know I give you a lot of compliments, but you are really amazing – you murdered it tonight”. CeeLo “Terry I love you, I love that rendition, it really moved me and I thought of your mother, your wife and child, it was a strong performance”. Adam “You always impress us and blow us away, you slayed it and blew us away”. Blake “I was right, we did the right thing, America needs to know how hard that was what you did, sitting there with just a piano and a cello, it was unbelievable”.

Trevin Hunte is next and Pat Monahan is mentoring him with an up tempo “Walking On Sunshine”. Trevin thinks he is going to have fun with this song and show his carefree side.

Coaches Comments: Adam “That is the last song I could ever imagine you singing and you are the best, you killed it and I am happy it worked”. Blake “I love it when you have those little windows, those moments when you hit those big notes, I love it”. CeeLo “Trevin, it made me feel so much better to see you happy and moving, I hope that you get it now. I think you did a great job”.

New York highschooler Melanie Martinez is next from team Adam, she is signing “Crazy” by CeeLo and is hoping to be the first seventeen year old to be in the top four.

Coaches Comments: Christina “Your props were great and I think what makes that song work is the soul and the passion, it was a hair under a lot but you made a great effort”. CeeLo “Wow, you and Adam have such great taste in music, I think you did a great job”. Adam “There were some pitch issues, but who cares. I am a huge fan of yours, people want to dress like you and sing like you and that is really cool”.

Terry McDermott returns to the stage and Blake chooses his second song to be “Stay With Me” by Rod Stewart.

Coaches Comments: CeeLo “When it comes to rock & roll there is nothing like the real thing, I am a big fan of yours”. Adam “I love that song, I love your jacket, you are the most consistent singer and don’t ever judge you being able to sing”. Blake “You have that laser pitch and combine it with passion, you are a star”.

Trevin Hunte is up next and with the help of Pat Monahan, he is going to tackle Jennifer Hudson‘s “I Am Telling That I Am Not Going”.

Coaches Comments: Adam “Forget about the competition, we enjoyed your incredible God given voices, the best performance on this show ever”. Blake “I spoke to you about those little windows and that was like a two minute window, it was full on Trevin”. Christina “Other artists can hit the notes, but there is something about you, the emotion and I am happy to be here to see you performance and would love to take you on the road with me”. CeeLo “I want to have a moment of silence to mourn the loss of the rest of the competition, Trevin OMG. That was so remarkable man, thank you so much for blessing me”.

Amanda Brown from team Adam is taking on another rock song for her second performance, this time she is singing “Here I Go Again” by Whitesnake.

Coaches Comments: Christina “That song had CeeLo written all over it, great job”. CeeLo “Amazing performance and you look beautiful, it was fierce and passionate, all this positive energy is healing me”. Adam “This was a strange choice, but not that strange because you kick everyone’s ass, it suits you because you love this. You have so much range as a singer and I wanted everyone to see that tonight and they did”.

Now it is a choice by coach Adam for Melanie Martinez‘s second performance, he picks “The Show” by Lenka.

Coaches Comments: Blake “That was definitely different for you, the important thing is that you sang it good, I am left questioning though wondering about your connection with the song”. Christina “The stage was cute and I hope you had fun with that, but I want to hear that sultriness from you”. CeeLo “Melanie I enjoyed it, I enjoy you. That was one of the most colorful and eventful stage sets on The Voice, I am a fan of yours”. Adam “I love coming up with ideas with you, I think you did a wonderful job, it was carefree and you let it all go”.

Team Blake’s Cassadee Pope is up next and for her second performance she has chosen “I’m With You” by Avril Lavigne, one of her favorite songs.

Coaches Comments: CeeLo “I know you are committed, you have had an impeccable track record, it was cool”. Adam “That was my favorite performance for you, I love that song, it lent itself to the show. It was a fantastic job, my favorite of the night”. Blake “What is happening with Cassadee is that you can’t teach someone to have a connection with a note and she is one of those rare individuals and she is able to sing really really good, that is the phenomenon that is Cassadee Pope”.

Closing out the night is Nicholas David and with the help of mentor stand-in Pat Monahan he is going to tackle “Somewhere Over The Ranbow” by Judy Garland. This song is close to Nicholas as it was his mother’s favorite.

Coaches Comments: Adam “I love the way you do it every time, I am curious always to know what you are going to do next. I am genuinely a fan of your music”. Blake “That was magic and that was beautiful, only you could do what you just did up there”. CeeLo “Nicholas man let me tell you this, I support you, you have acquired so many enthusiast in what you do. I am a strong and loyal supporter of you, I was pleasantly surprised”.

The end!
