Cody Simpson caused a social meltdown this morning, both by posting a nude photo of his butt on Instagram and seemingly confirming that he and Gigi Hadid were back together. Way to kill two birds with one stone.
It was just weeks ago that Cody and Gigi had broken up, reportedly because they both felt like they were too busy to commit to a serious relationship. However, they’re young and they’re fickle, and so it’s not really surprising that they’ve gotten back together just weeks later. Of course, there’s always the possibility that the initial breakup was just a publicity stunt, but if it was, you’d think that they’d wait longer than this to get back together, no?
Anyway, Cody posted a photo of his naked butt on Instagram, captioning the photo, “Free. throwback to Sunday morning on the coast after a big one. surfed out too. how bout that tan. taken by bae.”
And by ‘bae’, he’s obviously referring to Gigi – why would he refer to her as that if they were still broken up? Of course, the image was quickly taken down from Instagram because of the nudity, but not before it received numerous comments from fans asking to know if Cody and Gigi were back together. In the end, Cody never commented on his relationship status, just writing, “Looks like Instagram didn’t like my ass.”
Uh-huh. So what do you guys think? Is this just another publicity stunt, or is he really back together with Gigi? Well, the naked photo is definitely a publicity stunt, but is it meant to get us talking about his love life again? Or just cause furor on the interwebs?
