Not only are Julianna Margulies and Archie Panjabi not BFFs, but the two leading ladies were reportedly in a longstanding feud while working together on the CBS drama. Alicia Florrik may be BFFs with Kalinda Sharma on The Good Wife – but there is no love lost between the two women in real life. Julianna is happy that Archie quit The Good Wife.
The June 1 edition of Star Magazine reveals that Julianna Margulies and Archie Panjabi were not fans of each other while working on The Good Wife, although you never would have been able to tell by watching their characters Kalinda and Alicia interact on screen. A set insider dished to Star Magazine, “There had been tension between them ever since Archie won an Emmy before Julianna did. Alicia may miss Kalinda, but Julianna sure wasn’t sad to see her go.”
As far as Archie Panjabi goes, it looks like she is getting the last laugh. Alicia Florrick may think she is the queen of The Good Wife set now that Kalinda is gone, but Archie is moving on to bigger and better. According to new reports, Panjabi scored the lead role in an all new series that will be airing on FOX. Star’s insider raved, “Archie is so talented, it’s no surprise that she immediately got a pilot deal with FOX.” Wouldn’t it be ironic if Archie’s new TV show aired opposite of The Good Wife on Sundays? Then she and her former rival Julianna Marguiles will be going head to head for ratings.
