Jodi Arias Death Penalty Retrial: Travis Alexander Sex Letters Come Into Play

The Jodi Arias retrial for the murder of Travis Alexander is getting much less media attention that it did a few years ago, but she’s still #1 on the public’s hit list. For example, this latest news of Jodi’s retrial getting delayed is bound to have people getting their pitchforks ready. Apparently, one of the reasons for this trial delay is sex letters from Travis [to Jodi] that supposedly had him apologizing for masturbating while looking at photos of young boys. And yes, somehow this case keeps getting messier and messier.

In this particular scenario, Jodi’s legal team is doing everything in their power to destroy Travis Alexander’s reputation, including making these letters public. If they are real, then they would certainly shed some new light on the case, and make the jury and judge more sympathetic to Jodi than they have been in the past. After all, nobody wants to side with a creepy, gross pedophile – and if Travis really did masturbate while looking at photos of young boys, and Jodi caught him doing so, I wonder why it took so long for these letters to come out.

Prosecutors for the case are already calling the letters phony, but Jodi’s lawyer refuted the claims by furnishing testimonials from forensic experts. However, the letters provided as evidence were reportedly copies of the actual letters, and as such, almost impossible to authenticate 100%.

Right now, there’s a hearing on Monday where the lawyers will go over the evidence and determine the validity of these letters. And then Tuesday will be the beginning of the actual retrial, where the jury will be chosen. After that, the jury will have to decide whether to sentence the 34-year-old Jodi Arias to spend the rest of her life in prison, or face the death penalty for murdering her ex-boyfriend in cold blood.

Which sentence do you guys think Jodi will end up getting? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
