The Young and the Restless spoilers tease that a number of lead female characters must make and then keep their New Year’s resolutions. This group includes: Sharon (Sharon Case), Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan), Chloe (Elizabeth Hendrickson), Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) and Vickie (Amelia Heinle).
Sharon appears to be transforming from a constant damsel in distress to a normal human being. She must resolve to not withhold any information from family members and friends that will impact their lives in any way ever again. Simply doing that will represent progress and help to eventually restore trust and repair relationships.
Chelsea will be an indefinite widow, unless Adam (played by whoever in the future, possibly Michael Muhney) returns from the grave again. As she mothers Connor (Gunner and Ryder Gadbois), Mrs. Newman should remain focused on Chelsea 2.0. Don’t rush too quickly into a relationship with Nick (Joshua Morrow), as his romance history is checkered.
Chloe better hope that no one learns what she did at the cabin before it exploded. Only Ms. Mitchell knows if she did more than shoot a dart into Adam (Justin Hartley). Chloe must resolve to care for Bella (Cali May Kinder) and tell whatever man that he’s a dad. If it’s also possible she should stay with Kevin (Greg Rikaart) who only wants the best for her and Bella.
Phyllis took the hint. She realized that Jack (Peter Bergman) doesn’t want to be married to her anymore, despite the fact that he still loves the now-former Red. The restored Ms. Summers should go to work for Lauren (Tracey Bregman), stay out of the dating pool for awhile and keep an eye out for Summer (Hunter King) who’s head was turned far too quickly twice in the recent past.
Vickie (Amelia Heinle) should avoid a Villy reunion. She’s always regretted falling back into that pattern before. She should remain a strong mother to her three children, which now includes a returned Reed (Tristan Lake Leabu). If Vickie bides her time, it’s also possible that she could head Brash and Sassy again as well.
