General Hospital Spoilers: Ryan Committed to Ferncliff in Stunning Twist – Laura's Mission to Help 'Kevin' Locks Up Killer?

General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Laura Collins (Genie Francis) could cause major problems for “Kevin” (Jon Lindstrom) in the coming weeks. He’s still her husband legally, which may be important as concerns about “Kevin’s” mental health rev up. Ryan Chamberlain (Jon Lindstrom) is posing as his twin while the real Kevin’s locked away, but Ryan could get locked up himself if he’s not careful.

Laura recently suggested that “Kevin” needed a psychiatrist, which led to an explosive outburst. She was taken aback when “Kevin” basically threatened her life. Ryan covered his blunder, but Laura’s fears remained. She doesn’t even recognize the man standing in front of her and that’s left her on a mission for answers.

General Hospital fans know Ryan knocked out his brother and imprisoned him in Ferncliff. He urged the staff to ignore Kevin’s claims about his identity and ordered plenty of drugs to keep Kevin out of it. When Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) and Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) eventually showed up at Ferncliff, they found Nelle Benson (Chloe Lanier) instead. It’s clear that Ryan is one smooth criminal!

Meanwhile, we’ve got insistent Laura, who’s both angry and fearful right now. She realizes the man she believes to be Kevin needs serious help – and fast! The best way for Laura to help “Kevin” quickly is to do a judicial commitment. As long as she doesn’t sign the divorce papers, Laura has implied medical power of attorney as his spouse.

Ryan and Kevin are the only ones who know about the impersonation plot, so any divorce papers would be legal before the truth comes out. The same goes for any judicial commitment. Let’s consider what this would mean for Ryan and his deadly plans.

A judicial commitment is a court order hospitalizing someone believed to be a danger to himself or others to a mental institution or psych ward. It’s meant to be used in emergency cases so that a person can be properly evaluated and diagnosed with any mental problems. Usually, the person is assigned to a county or state-run facility. That’d be Ferncliff if GH lets Laura take this route with Ryan.

This could raise suspicions for staff members who have interacted with both Dr. Collins and “Wilson,” the patient name Kevin used for Ryan. It’d be great to see Ryan wind up back in a strait jacket due to his own reckless behavior. Maybe this could lead to the exposure of the twin swap and finally break the real Kevin free from his nightmare!

Will Laura end Ryan’s reign of terror by having him committed as Kevin? General Hospital spoilers say some exciting drama’s ahead, so don’t miss all the twists and turns.
