Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that the week of September 14 will get off to a rocky start for Sami Brady (Alison Sweeney) and John Black (Drake Hogestyn). The new Days of Our Lives extended promo shows John seriously lashing out at Sami.
As DOOL viewers know, John has just come out of his medically induced coma, and he’s going to wake up with some interesting aftereffects from his aneurysm.
Specifically, John will have experienced some personality changes, which may end up being temporary until his brain swelling goes down a bit. But for the present, John is going to have some difficulty regulating his emotions, and his anger toward Sami will get out of control.
John is shown growling at Sami for calling him a nobody before his aneurysm. Of course, this won’t sit well with Sami, and she’ll lash out in response.
“You hate me, don’t you? You’ve always hated me,” Sami fires back at John. “I hope you get another blood clot!” Well, to that, it looks like John will end up calling Sami the “b” word and throwing something across the room at her!
Of course, Sami will probably deserve it, but it’s just not like John to throw things and have tantrums. Clearly, John’s going to have a battle ahead to control his emotions.
Next, the new Days of Our Lives promo shows Eli Grant (Lamon Archey) doing something that’s going to get him into real trouble with Lani Price-Grant (Sal Stowers).
As viewers are aware, Eli turned up at Kristen DiMera’s (Stacy Haiduk) door at the Salem Inn at the end of Friday’s episode. Well, his next move will be to place Kristen under arrest for the attempted murder of Victor Kiriakis (John Aniston). And when Lani finds out about it, it won’t be a good scene.
Lani is shown lamenting to someone over at Julie’s Place about Eli’s actions. Lani will see this as a serious betrayal, and it’s going to take some effort to get her marriage to Eli back on track.
After all, Kristen is Lani’s BFF, and Lani will feel like Eli should have looked the other way. The promo shows Lani looking pretty defiantly at Eli, so this will be a real problem in their marriage.
On the Jan Spears (Heather Lindell) front, it looks like Jan is going to befriend Claire Brady (Isabel Durant). Jan and Claire are shown sitting together at Hope Brady’s (Kristian Alfonso) place, probably in the wake of Claire learning about Ciara Weston’s (Victoria Konefal) presumed death.
Claire and Jan are sitting together as Claire sobs, and Jan embraces Claire to comfort her.
But that will all come to a screeching halt when Belle Black (Martha Madison) shows up and wants Jan to get away from her daughter. Belle won’t be kidding around, since she knows that Jan is dangerous and is probably getting close to Claire to make Belle crazy.
It seems that Philip Kiriakis (Jay Kenneth Johnson) will also have a run-in with Jan, but he’ll do more than just tell Jan to go away. After running into Jan in town square, Philip will threaten Jan, saying, “This time, I’m going to take care of you myself…permanently!” Philip looks like he means business, so Jan had better watch out!
Finally, the new Days of Our Lives promo addresses the sad situation that Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson) will find himself in. During the week of September 14, Ben will be stuck in a hospital bed and thinking about that car explosion that Ciara was presumably in.
Ben will be grieving and recuperating at the same time, and viewers will remember that Kayla Brady (Mary Beth Evans) indicated that Ben was being sedated as he was dealing with burns and smoke inhalation.
The Days of Our Lives promo shows Ben being visited by Ciara in the hospital, but this will of course be a dream or perhaps a sedative-related hallucination of Ben’s. “I’m right here,” Ciara says as she sits with Ben.
Of course, Ben will eventually wake up and realize that he was just dreaming, and that Ciara is gone. We should see some sad moment for Ben as he mourns the loss of his wife.
