General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Nelle Benson Jerome (Chloe Lanier) will most likely make a comeback at some point. GH still has plenty of angles to work before that happens, but we have every reason to believe Nelle will eventually show up to seek revenge on her enemies.
Of course, Nelle won’t be the only one looking for vengeance! Nelle’s a self-absorbed person, so she may get so caught up in her own vengeful plans that she lets her guard down. Perhaps Nelle will believe she has the upper hand, but an old foe could resurface and make big trouble for her.
General Hospital fans will recall that Nelle lied about Brad Cooper (Parry Shen) stealing her child. In reality, it was Nelle who pushed Brad to swap babies with her that fateful night. Brad was weak and let Nelle talk him into a terrible idea.
It’s clear that Brad deserves some blame for that as well as his silence in the many months that followed. Brad could’ve come clean about Wiley Quartermaine-Corinthos (Erik and Theo Olson) at any moment, but he kept Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) in the dark and continued to dig a bigger hole for himself.
Even so, it wasn’t fair for Brad to be the only one who suffered any baby switch consequences. Brad’s sitting behind bars right now, but he might get out on parole or some legal technicality down the road. If Nelle can score an early release after all the deadly things she’s done, Brad can do the same.
It’d be great if General Hospital writers could line up Brad’s release with Nelle’s return to Port Charles. Brad could emerge from prison as an unexpected threat to throw off Nelle’s next scheme. It might be fun if GH kept fans in the dark who was sabotaging things for Nelle – only to reveal Brad as the threat later.
Whatever the case, Brad deserves his shot at revenge. Since Nelle’s body wasn’t found, she’ll inevitably return and wreak havoc. However, there could be a fatal target on Nelle’s back once she dares to show her face again.
Let’s hope Brad scores his release just in time to seek vengeance and create some major hurdles for Nelle.
