General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) and Anna Devane’s (Finola Hughes) wedding day should come with a whole lot of family drama. GH fans know Anna’s been pushing Finn to invite his father, Gregory Chase (Josh Swickard). Anna feels like it’s time for Finn to let the past go – if only for Violet Finn’s (Jophielle Love) sake.
Violet has a grandpa who wants to be in her life, so there’s no point in letting old grudges prevent that. Of course, there’s really one specific grudge, which involves Finn’s stepmom and Harrison Chase’s (Josh Swickard) biological mother. After Finn’s mom died, he felt like Gregory moved on far too fast.
Gregory ultimately married this woman and had a baby with her, although it always felt like there was more to the story. Could some new casting news be a hint about what’s in store? Kim Delaney (ex-Jenny Gardner) has joined the cast of GH and will first air in late September or early October.
General Hospital buzz hints that Delaney may have been brought in to portray someone’s mom – and Chase’s mom is certainly needed for this storyline. Why bother bringing Gregory up again and heavily hinting at wedding drama ahead? It seems obvious that Gregory’s going to attend this wedding with his wife and Finn’s stepmother on his arm.
That means this woman has to be cast – and Delaney’s in the right age range. She also happens to look the part when it comes to playing Chase’s bio mom. However, the real point of all this may be establishing who’s really Chase’s father!
This seems like a situation where Finn might’ve been romantically involved with Chase’s mother as well – perhaps leading to this rift when she chose Finn’s dad and married him. The fact that it happened so soon after Finn’s mom’s death might’ve added insult to injury.
It’s doubtful GH will rewrite Finn and Chase as father and son instead of brothers, but they could still raise the question. A DNA test could follow and hopefully confirm that Chase is indeed Finn’s half-brother, not his son. Regardless, maybe Chase will see Finn in a new light once he realizes the true story of the past.
There are some buried secrets left to be exposed no matter what! Delaney’s new character may play a role in bringing those to the surface. As other GH updates emerge, we’ll bring you other great info.
